Yes, they're really nice in there.

They had come-along-and-eat barbecue day there yesterday and amazing weather for it too. Sadly we had commitments at home :sad:. Probably saved me a fortune, mind.

I have to fit a Laptop and all the paraphernalia that I need for work. During Spring/Summer I usually carry all my kit in my Kreiga Rucksack, but alas with the onset of wet and wintery conditions I carry a little extra kit i.e. Heated Clobber and spare gloves etc, change of clothes & shoes. 🥴

Fitted engine bars to my old TDM 850. It looks like the only maker and supplier is RD Moto in the Czech Republic. Took a few weeks to arrive but look like excellent quality and fitted with hardly any difficulty at all.  The only one was having to shorten an M10 fixing bolt from 110mm to 90mm. 

Like insurance, just hope they're no needed.

not to fashion sense people as each to their own and all (I am a of the sensible topbox crew) but curiously asking about the mixing Your bike has.  
a white and black patterned banana (which looks quite modern design) on as a screen and wood beads as a seat…which the last time I saw that was guns and roses 🤘🏽/steel pantha and the other in a taxi of a elderly gentleman many moons ago, dont think Ive ever seen one on a bike before, certainly not together.

When you get to a certain age you start to think " F*ck Fashion" and decide you'll just do what you want.

My old moto was mostly a rather sombre black which could tend to render it hard to spot under certain conditions. For example riding along tree shaded narrow roads.  So I was hoping for a kind of DRP that First World War battleships adopted but for the opposite reason. Mine was to be seen, not to be camouflaged.  That was the best I could come up with.

The beaded seat cover ?  After a couple of weeks riding in Spain and the south of France in summer my arse was in tatters !    Sweat rash. to be blunt.  

A totally unfashionable and hence uber cheap bead seat cover was remodelled to fit my saddle and provide adequate ventilation. And also the constant micro massage of parts of my anatomy raised my IQ level by 15 points.... or so I'm told.

Guns and Roses ?  Was that some kind of popular orchestra during the Civil War ?

Must be more comfy than it looks but perching my bum on hard wooden beads for 400 miles sounds a bit on the masochistic side to me. I'll stick to gel pads I think!

I did the same as the rest of the winter.  Peered through the shed window, noted bike had not dissolved into a pile of ash, glanced at the battery readout and walked with heavy heart to the car and another day of slavedom.

 

I lead such an exciting life, I can barely contain my glee..... yippee, another Monday morning.

Actually I did , once upon a time , wear Dunlop Trials Wellies.  Ideal for Scotch weather.

Had my Honda CBF600 MoTed two weeks ago.    Passed but rear brakes pads were an advisory so did them this afternoon.   Easy enough if a bit mucky.

I did notice the anti squeal pads are missing so will endeavour to source some replacements.   
I was going to change the brake fluid but it is spotless so okay for now.    I think the fronts will need doing buy the next oil change so will do it all then.

Just returned home after attending a suspension setup day at Greenham Kawasaki. Absolute bargain at £30.

I'd previously done my own setup using guidance from YouTube and was fairly comfortable that I'd done what was needed. I didn't have any particular concerns with how the bike handled.

 

However, after a few minutes work from someone who truly knows what they're doing, the bike feels much lighter and more nimble. Low and high speed corners are all so much nicer. I really didn't expect to notice this much difference.

 

The bike is now set up properly for road - I suspect that a lot of the YouTube advice is for high speed riding on smooth tracks. And that very much isn't my need!

 

Highly recommended.

Hi Simon.

 

It's a regular thing organised by Greenham Kawasaki (https://www.greenhamkawasaki.co.uk)- I believe it's every couple of months from April to October. They organise it but the spanners are actually wielded by a specialist - MH Suspension (https://www.mhracing.com).

 

And it's not just for Kawasaki - the bike before me was a Suzuki. I assume Greenham organise it because it gets them visitors - they've got a lovely big showroom.

 

I heard about it through a Facebook owners group for my bike but you book by just calling Greenham in advance - they take your payment over the phone and book you a time slot. But apparently you can turn up on the day and they never turn anyone away - you just might have to wait.

Sounds like something more dealers should do, I love a good open day style thing

A little thing, but the clutch reservoir screws were stuck fast a couple of weeks ago when I came to renew the fluids.  One of the screw heads, being made of one part mild steel to 99 parts butter, just turned to mush on first contact with the screwdriver.

 

Managed to get it loose by hammering in a torx bit, but it's been bugging me since.

 

Not wanting to pay £45 for a genuine Triumph cap and screws kit I found these replacements for £6.10 for 10 (delivered), so swapped them out. I think they look rather snazzy.
