Marino Posted June 8, 2020 Author Posted June 8, 2020 @Marino Not sure if it will affect you but from the 10th Austria are closing some roads to motorcycles https://www.femamotorcycling.eu/banning-motorcycles-in-tirol/ Anyway I will be on the motorway only Is there a full list for all bikes Unlikely I would be there on the bike but I have a removable baffle on a car that's bloody noisy They don’t care about cars. Motorcycles only, as it says in that text, les decibels from the bikes than local tractors, buses and tracks, but people are annoyed by bikes. Probably if you will just roll with engine off they will complain because of tyre noise Quote
gogs01 Posted June 8, 2020 Posted June 8, 2020 I fancy going out for a pizza. There's a restaurant open in Croatia ..... Quote

Marino Posted June 12, 2020 Author Posted June 12, 2020 Too much rides and barbecues, last two days couldn’t update anything. We went for a ride around on the island, roads are almost empty, no tourists so nice sporty ride out.Generally very good tarmac, when dry, nice fast, long corners for speeds 80, 90 miles/hr.Perfect weather 20 to 25 degrease Celsius.Went to southern tip of the island called Baska Up on return, barbecue preparation and execution, Got lamb meat from neighbours, wine and olive oil as well, Some pork meet too, they grow their own food and animals That was long long night with too much wine......... Marino Posted June 12, 2020 Author Posted June 12, 2020 Than all night longPhoto is from city of Rijeka, looking to the island that you cannot see it from that rain After hundreds of lightning strikes and end of the world rain, during the night, another sunny day Quote
S-Westerly Posted June 12, 2020 Posted June 12, 2020 Spent a happy couple of months down the road a bit in Split standing by a new build in Brodosplit yard. August and September, lots of wine not too much work. Winner. Quote
Marino Posted June 13, 2020 Author Posted June 13, 2020 Still good weather very pleasant 25 degrees, dry no rain, today went to Istria, coastal road called by local bikers plominka as per local village that going to. Very nice road, good surface, lot of corners, fast and slow, very technical. No speed cameras no police and more important no tourists. On the way back went over the mountain of Ucka, road is going thru the national park. Another nice road, unfortunately managed to delete most of the photos. Quote

Marino Posted June 19, 2020 Author Posted June 19, 2020 Return back home from Cro, same way, but this time very wet, lot of rain. It was good all the way to Munich, cloudy but dry.Austria didn’t promise a lot but no rain at the end Than lunch near Rosenheim and quick nap as it was sunny and warm Look like I killed all Austrian fly’s As I had plenty of time, managed to travel on relaxing speeds, averaging 70 mph, and consumption 51mpg.Usually I don’t care about it as I do it for pleasure, but computer is there so why not. After nap, continued towards Munich where started to rain and didn’t stop all the way to Frankfurt, proper downpour for over 4 hours. As I was not in hurry to arrive to tunnel, I decided to stop overnight in my half tent. It is a beach tent so no proper stuff but better than nothing. I called it half camping because of half tentt, At least I covered half way, 1000km, 620 miles2nd day, woke up at 5 as all truckers stared to move and make lot of noise. Road traffic didn’t bother me but those mofos couldn’t wait for some decent time.It was wet and nasty all the way to Brussels where sun came out and change my mud to “life is beautiful”.Last bit about half hour through the France rain started again, just to remind me how nasty it can be.UK border control reminded me about 14 quarantine days, you have to submit online form and save it in your phone as proof.First time in my life they asked me to open my luggage and check, fortunately didn’t find cheese, sausages, Dry meat and rest of Croatian delicatessen. Canister on top of the top case was full of red wine, 12 litres, I told them it’s spare fuel. They didn’t check, thank haven.Up on crossing, weather in Folkestone was nice, sunny and warm and stayed all the way to Peterborough where started to rain. And gradually as I approached closer to home it turn into the misery, wet, cold, shit.I was not happy at all so no pics as well, just couldn’t wait to arrive home and lay in a hot bath, cold went into my bones.I managed to cover another 1000 km in a dayLast pics, is just total journey with some miles in Croatia, total 2978 miles, in 58 hrs, average speed 59mi/h, consumption 5.4 lit on 100 km, what is 52 mpg Even if return wasn’t brilliant as the way down south, I would do it again any time.
