Hi looking to buy the mudflap style l plate for back and one to go on front of bike. Which ones are best to get

Pretty sure there is only 1 legal style of L plate that must be displayed upright, out front in front...

You can get kits to mount them to one of the forks, like this. I used some neoprene to protect the forks.

when i first started riding the lads i knocked about with used to wrap their L plates round their front forks and that was certainly frowned apon

I made a bracket that used some existing fixings for the front cover and placed just above the headlight in a near vertical position, only took a few minutes to put it together :thumb:

Why make a bracket when you could have simply stuck one on the screen?

Because i had the L's fitted before i got the screen :lol:


Also because when i first got the bike the dealer stuck on a self adhesive type on and after a year it was looking a bit worse for wear, so i decided to replace it with a rigid plastic type and it was a twat to remove, doing it this way only takes 2 screws to undo and it's off :thumb:
