Interested in opinion on whether it's ok to hose down all parts of a hot bike (air and oil-cooled), or should I let it cool off. I've never heard of anyone damaging their bike by hosing it when hot, but I'd make sure my bike had cooled down before hosing it off, regardless. 1 Quote

No different from running through a puddle. I hose mine down most days during the winter, just don't aim the hose directly to any electrics. 3 Quote

When I hosed the oil radiator the other day there was a lot of hissing, so I thought that's going to be a sudden cooling with metal contracting. Maybe I should just stop worrying . Quote

I have heard some say its best left to cool to wash the salt of as you are making a hot acid or something which can increase rust... I clean my bike when I get chance. Quote
jedibiker Posted December 12, 2020 Posted December 12, 2020 Still waiting for my ACF50 from sportsbike shop. I know they are recommended here but its twice ive ordered something and twice its not come so getting a little sick of them. I thought price was too good to be true. it was despatched 6 days ago and ive had loads of parcels come in the same time frame from all over including overseas. I know the forum suggests them and gets a bit from it but they don't seem to give a good service, or its me being unlucky. Quote

A lot will depend on the courier, there are so many prohibited items ( thanks to Royal Mail ) only certain couriers will take them, not all the blame can be passed onto the suppliers Edited December 12, 2020 by dynax Quote

Its by royal mail second class. Ive had all sorts arrive via the same route from all over. It could be just unlucky its them thats slow or not sent again. In July i ordered fork seals and after a week i rang to chase up and it said they were delayed as the oil was on a big delay of 5 days or more. so had to cancel and got them next day from another supplier. I like there shop, the layout, the price but as of yet struggled to get anything arrive. 1 Quote

It arrived Sunday afternoon. But that wasn't via Royal Mail delivery. Everything I've had this week via Royal Mail has taken 7 days to arrive due to the volume of online sales at the moment. Usually SBS are excellent for delivery. Quote
