Evening.

My profile tells me I joined on July 18, 2011.

So that's thirteen years to work out there's a gif button on the bar.

I'm so happy.

Good Morning Rain GIF by ailadi

Well, I’ve still got a week and a half before my new bike comes - and I’m not risking having an accident on mine - so this is largely irrelevant. I’ve got to stay in this week as the clothes I drunkenly bought are all being delivered on different days at no fixed time.

Morning

Swapped the insurance to my Harley for when it arrives - £111 cashback!

Clearly Hog riders are altogether better riders than Honda riders.

For those who frequent the cafe at Sleap airfield....it is closed for refurbishment.

And the local roads gave been covered in mud.

So avoid for a while.

I'm sure the farmers around here are in competition to see who can cover the road in as much mud as possible..

It's lethal, especially when it's wet, and it covers the whole width of the road. Chuck in a few trees worth of fallen leaves just to make it worse.

Riding around Shrewsbury area the roads are covered in mud.  But the farmer has done the necessary by putting up a sign .....Mud on Road.

Which got me thinking....if a sign is sufficient to justify leaving the roads in a dangerous state I'm going to get one for my bike:

No Insurance...No Tax.....No MOT....May exceed speed limit. Then I'm covered against all eventualities.  Obviously having put up a sign the police can't touch me.

Not a bad shout there!

I will make one for the road outside," Non maintained highway use at your own risk"

Doubt local f*ckwit council understand sarcasm though.

Cheers

Sarcasm, surely that's factual?

Took a full day for the emotions to hit my good lady

She was obviously very happy once the pure bewilderment passed, but I said quite quickly to just let herself be shocked. All the good stuff comes later when it sinks in. Sure enough, the next morning I showed her a picture of the proposal with a little music over it, and she burst into tears and needed a long hug. After I left she said she had on/off tears the rest of the day.

Was carefully planned with a few alternatives in place. There was only one tweak, but it ended up moving the point I snuck up to a nicer spot. Only day of clear sunshine the whole week as well! So we were very lucky as she's back home this Friday.

@Fozzie Ya soppy sod...

I'm quite jealous really, never had anyone want to marry me, probably why events like yours are all the more special. I'm sitting here really happy for you, and I don't even know you.

Good luck matey.
