Hello guys, so my friend just got his first bike: a Honda Shadow 125 for his A1 license and i think he might got scammed. When he went to see it the odometer didnt work and the guy told him it doesn’t have more then 28000 km and now after the electric part have been repaired it shows 92150 as seen in the picture below. We are now wondering if those are really km or if it might be some other measurment unit

There's a clue right there in the picture . I very much doubt that a 125 Shadow would come fitted with a Speedometer that goes up to 160 mph . So that's got to be off another bike for starters .

I’m thinking that as the odo is in kph then the speedo might be as well, where 160kph = approx 100mph which would be more like it.

I think the only way to really tell, is to look at the overall condition of the bike & see if it rally’s up with the km’s it’s supposed to have done.

I actually meant kph but nonetheless , that's still high for a 125 cruiser .

Use the Reg plate Look up the MOT history for the bike see what that says...

Might give a clue.

Are you sure  it's not 9125.0

Not 91250

But the sun glare makes it hard to see.

Yes more than the specified milage but its up to the buyer to check these things and if it's from a dealer then you have that right to return if not as described.
