It seems ages since I posted here asking advice about my bike.

the right grip (my grips are heated) seems to slip round. It is not totally loose and I can accelerate but the grip moves round meaning that the cable for the heating limits the amount of rotation. I can turn it back and reset it but it keeps happening.

how do I resolve this? Has the glue degenerated? Was it glue? They were fitted before I got the bike.

I think you've answered your own question .

I have tried super glue before but I find it sets too quickly and eventually it gives!

If you get the grip wrong and it sets you're screwed

I have used the spray on contact adhesive for the current grips and it's been spot on

Leaves enough time to get them in place before setting

I heard hair spray too and tried that but it was a no go for me!

I installed them on both bikes last year and a quick way to get off is with an air line, then all I did was put a little black tape under so it was snug. Not moved at all. Keep hearing how glue fails. (r&g mostly)

Thanks. Will try to find time this weekend but most likely next weekend now.

Off Road World in Coleshill will have Grip Glue .
