Traffic laws in the UK

If I've got it right, it is now illegal in the UK to use a mobile phone at all while driving a car, unless you are using it as a directional aid, and it is in a holder so you are not holding it yourself.

Also, the laws regarding cars versus cyclists have been changed in favour of the cyclist.  This could be seen as either good news or bad news for motorcyclists.  On the one hand, motorbike riders are exposed like cyclists, but on the other hand they tend to travel a lot faster than cyclists.

Not sure on worse, pyramid goes pedestrians, cyclists, motorbikes, cars, vans etc

We are pretty well defined in the hierarchy.

Sat nav, its best not to be using it or looking at it too long regardless of law, it's just safer to look ahead?

mine is just below my line of sight, I shudder at the idea of having it placed below the instruments or over by the mirror stem!!

Mine used to be mounted on the top yolk on the FJR and it was a nightmare!

Quick glance down and it could be game over as its not always a quick glance due to the position
