Heated grips on a 125

Is this a good idea or will they drain the hell outta my battery?

I'm not sure - but I got silk inners for my gloves and they do make a difference - my hands are warm - and not sweaty. 

I've been advised that a heated gilet - is the way to go (they are about £100 and I think heated with a a battery pack

Should be fine, however I alway run extras through a relay.  That way you are confident when the key turns off nothings running.

1) Ignition or Toggle switch splice into wiring where appropriate (hardest part),

2) Water pump is device eg heated grips, I also have USD charger for my phone.

oldest are 5 years have fitted to a few bikes, never had a failure.

The big advantage is they don’t have a big control unit to mount on bike. 

The disadvantage is they don’t get  as hot as oxfords, they also don’t draw much power. It also means they don’t heat your hands so much they start sweating get wet and cold.  I have ridden ALL year and had cool hands but never cold.

Buy big as I am large but in this I am 3xl, ladies sizes available as well.

I like the ones with neck warmer.

Already had battery pack (large ish) and it lasts all day on low which is all I have needed.

 

Arms and legs still chilly but warm up much quicker as core is warm...
