Dashboard display needs to dim

Currently running a Keeway K light 125cc. However the dashboard display light is always on. This is very distracting while riding, especially at night. 

 

Does anyone know how to dim it. It doesn't dim when using full beam either. 

Any help appreciated

What exactly do you mean by Dashboard Display Light ?

My guess is this is the instrument cluster back-light which will always be on with the ignition.  These days they tend to be LED and if there isn't a rheostat fitted to dim it then there's not a lot you can do. 

 

Unless it's an older version with bulbs and someone has fitted a higher wattage bulb. My CBF uses bulbs so I can change them. Depends on the age of the bike.

@Mississippi Bullfrogwhat year is your cbf? I'm asking because mine is 2008 and has led dash lights, though it is a 600 not 500

2006. The build quality pre 2010 was much better than later stuff.
