Isla Posted September 5, 2023 Posted September 5, 2023 (edited) Following a 7am work Pow Wow, Biscuit & her rider went for a mini adventure into the Peak District. 1st stop was in the tiny hamlet of Tunstead to find a stone that marks the birthplace of James Brindley, followed by a short bimble further East to Tideswell for a bite to eat, sat on a bench outside it's 14th century church.. Beautiful morning/ride/scenery/sunshine* (*all valid) Best therapy ever Edited September 5, 2023 by Isla 7 Quote

I would love a half decent camera but phones are just so convenient for random shots! This is just a cheap Motorola G8. The pics are better if you switch to manual mode...and good light helps too! Bender Posted September 5, 2023 Posted September 5, 2023 Even a little tweaking of what you took can help. 1 Quote

RideWithStyles Posted September 5, 2023 Posted September 5, 2023 Nope been there and done that. i dont need to waste money on filling fat techno giant(s) anymore, need to and want to ride more. Quote
Tiggie Posted September 5, 2023 Posted September 5, 2023 Myself I couldn't justify paying close to 2k for the newest models or paying a high monthly contract anyway. I was simply showing that phones can and do take good photographs. My phone is hardly latest and greatest. In fact not even close. 4 years old and cost £350 1 Quote

S-Westerly Posted September 5, 2023 Posted September 5, 2023 You might say that the small pics in the posts (if you are looking on a phone) are going to look reasonable anyway but even if you expand them they aren't bad. Unless you are a semi pro and trying to get large format photos a phone is fine for pics. Small, convenient and let's face it most pics are purely for personal use and you look at them on a phone. 1 Quote

I agree with you mostly but am with Ridewithstyles on the distant scenery. I have started using the timer to avoid camera shake when pressing the shutter but it only helps to a point, so distant views aren't something I tend to snap unfortunately. 2 hours ago, Ronnie said: And the photos looked fine to me ! Google pixel, tbh it's not a great phone, it's ok, but it takes some great pics, definitely it's saving grace, it also makes tweaking them easy for a mobile, new model on the horizon so be plenty of deals to be had but there's not much difference in spec to the one from 2021 and that is cheaper. 1 1 Quote

RideWithStyles Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 Bender maybe you should add some more wire fencing and a picture of steve mcqueen clearing the jump. 2 Quote
