  1. I too use My Route App to make up detailed routes on my Windows PC. I also have the mobile MRA on my smartarse phone along with Garmin Smartphone App. So I can carry all my routes on my phone and easily transfer them to my Garmin Sat Nav using the Garmin Smartphone app. No need to carry your laptop !
  2. And the photos looked fine to me !
  3. Yes indeed ! I would love to know what the answer to that is.
  4. Isn't this a perfect example ? One of the problems with AI is that it is a load of crap ! Surely my question couldn't have been clearer ? Another problem with AI is that it has no sense of shame or even embarrassment. I worry about the eejits who use this stuff.
  5. Of course she knows ! And did you get away with it ? Time will tell, best of luck !
  6. Aye, cold and wet ! Had sixty years of it and gave up. Moved to France, and my luck changed.

And it's not going to get any better !
  8. Totally agree. I have my Garmin mounted as high and centrally as possible so that a quick glance down is sufficient to keep me informed. Then I've almost instantly got my eyes back on the road. I can't help but feel that a screen mounted where there used to be a wireless in most cars is a distraction. Why not mount it where the speedometer usually is ? Nobody seems to bother with it anyway.
  9. Me too. I've been using it for several years now and it does just get better all the time, doesn't it ? Like all of these navigation devices they do take a bit of learning but I find MRA the easiest and most trouble free system yet. It's not completely faultless though. I use it with a Garmin Zumo 396 and I've found that despite the instructions it will quite happily transfer Open Source or Tom Tom maps to your Garmin despite saying that it will only accept maps prepared on a HERE format. If you do go for the Smartarse phone thing, download Garmin Smartphone Link and after a couple of tries it's dead easy to drop a route onto your Garmin Zumo just from your phone.
  10. I would, but factoring costs into it make a re-usable filter a better bet than either a very expensive genuine Yamaha part or a suspect pattern one.
  11. Yes, that's the one. If there's no noticeable improvement, I won't be too disappointed. However if it can be cleaned and reused as good as new I'll be quite contented.....Scotch attitude....careful with money !
  12. I don't know if this is the right forum but here goes... Has anyone had any experience with fitting a DNA Air Filter ? Is there any noticeable improvement in performance or fuel consumption ? I have a prehistoric 1991 Yamaha TDM 850 with Mikuni BDST 38 carbs. Will I need to alter the jetting ? I have seen some positive reviews but second or even third opinions are appreciated. Ronnie.
