I wear glasses all the time and been struggling with fogging lenses all winter.

I used to use re+spire supercharged anti fog wipes and they were great. But no longer available.

I saw recently that you can send your glasses away and get an anti fog coating done. Has anyone done it?

Tried contact lenses ?

Yeah but I don't like them and can only wear them for a shirt time before my eyes get dry. I'm sat at a screen most of the day and glasses are more comfortable. I don't want to use contacts just for my commute each day.

I use this and find it to be excellent. Downside is that it needs to be applied each day that I need it, although I do notice some effect the following day. But it's quick and easy to wipe on / wipe off.

I'm using zeiss at the moment, the disposable wipes. They are good but not amazing and the film it leaves attracts dust. But it is good at keeping most of the fog away.

The anti fog treatment is permanent so less hassle and I'm hoping someone has done it.

My specs had the anti fog treatment from the get go and I've not experienced fogging. So maybe it works? No idea what the treatment was though. I use a Pinlock 120 as well so that probably does more.

Anti reflective coats an opticians would offer you prior to purchasing the glasses.

One of the many by product of the coating is quite good with first level fogging. would be cheaper long term than buying any potions let alone convenience saved.

ive tried many in the past but most are not that good for many reasons and not worth the bother for me.

just be careful with some advertising potions as they can melt or make brittle.

I use either anti bacterial wipes, or the divers technique.  Might not look pretty but does help a bit.

Get a bit of a potato and smear it on the lenses, then wipe it 🙂

Tried it many moons ago.

potatoes do sort of work but it’s very hit and miss with its performance and very short duration, not worth the effort when other products are about imho.

plus trying to buff the shite out of it to get rid of the smears and marks is a mare and far worst than any slightly scratched visor and light ghost ringing a pinlock would ever do.

thats my experience with it.

So far the disposable Zeiss wipes are good enough but not 100% like res+pure were.

The sellers on Amazon often post out of date stock so some are dry. Probably overstocked from COVID mask days.

In the space of 2 weeks I've had my car spring an oil leak and a big windscreen crack. Plus car and bike insurance are now due so will wait another pay day before sending off the glasses for anti fog coating

I use Pinlocks now, but in the passed I have used dry soap, rubbed on the inside of the visor then polished off.

Then I upgraded to some pink stuff I bought at a motorcycle show, I'm sure it was paraffin based, a wax stick.

Same as the soap, rub on and buff off, both worked fine but needed to be re-applied through-out the day.

Was driving past Halfords yesterday and popped in and got some Muc-Off Motorcycle Premium Anti-Fog Treatment. Used it yesterday at 6pm, still not fogging as of 12pm today.

Even breathing on them directly no issues. Very impressed so far.

So at 9:20pm (27 hours later) my glasses started to fog ever so slightly.

The issue I had with these treatments, they worked really well.

Until they didn't, I found they would work however if overwhelmed by moisture you would steam up and it was a bugger to clear.

Better not to use and have warning than find yourself fogged up suddenly.

They might of improved but just a warning.
