S-Westerly Posted March 21 Posted March 21 I've bought enough cheap crap on Ebay to not be doing it anymore. I know what I'd be buying but......Caveat Emptor as they say. 1 Quote

husoi Posted March 21 Posted March 21 Pointless tool. Normally it's measured by distance from level to top. Get a good steel ruler with a little clamp to make sure you're measuring the correct level. For measurements in volume use a decent measuring cup. Don't make simple things more complicated than needs to be 3 Quote
Mississippi Bullfrog Posted March 21 Posted March 21 It's a very simple tool really. I use one with a ring at the top and an adjustable tube. Yes, you can do it without but with this system it is easy to adjust the level. I can't see why something so simple needs to be expensive. The metal tube has measurements etched into it so it's dead simple to set up. 2 Quote

Simple to use just set the measurement between ring and end of tube and suck out excess fluid. Simples. Cheers Ian Cheers Ian 1 Quote
V650 Posted March 21 Posted March 21 That's the same as the one I have paid €25 and used it a couple of times & it works fine I would not be paying 93 quid for something only used occasionally Just my 2p worth 1 Quote
bud Posted March 21 Posted March 21 It's not something that a cheap eBay or Amazon kit won't perform and function correctly. 2 Quote
RideWithStyles Posted March 21 Posted March 21 I have one it’s good for the forks but how often you do the forks depend ms on its usefulness. Apparently you are ment to replace the pipe every time- Really??? I just clean it out with brake cleaner and leave the parts including the plunger separated. The parts- the pipe realistically it’s just a plastic syringe, synthetic piping, a hollow aluminium pipe and a alu ring/collar with a grub screw. £20ish max it should be. 3 Quote
