Tinkicker Posted March 21 Posted March 21 Be nice to have a look around the old place and bring back some hot memories and provide and answer some burning questions regarding my nostalgic view of those days.. Moved away from the area over 20 years ago and feeling nostalgic, put Birkdale High School into google.... Hells bells... I feel the need to assert that my 3rd year chemistry experiments are not to blame.. 3 Quote
Bender Posted March 21 Posted March 21 I wouldn't mind visiting my old school but I suspect slapping 1200 kids would he frowned upon Quote
Mickly Posted March 21 Posted March 21 Wouldn’t go into my old school unless I was heavily armed & with back up 1 Quote
bud Posted March 21 Posted March 21 My old school was closed about five years ago. It now been relocated, and merged with another school. Then given a new name. The old site is a housing estate now apparently. Quote
Tinkicker Posted March 21 Author Posted March 21 (edited) School is what it is... A preparation of what is to follow. They say you cannot put an old head on young shoulders. But.............. If they did, the teenage pregnancy statistics would have spiked... I thought the girls were taking the piss, and I was far more interested in the products of Yamaha to bother studying any aspect of these crudely conceived " introductions". If not, the word would have soon gotten around that sit on my knee in a pretend piss taking way to embarrass the quiet lad would quickly lead to breasts being fondled. They started it.. Not moi. If I could go back now, but still be myself as today. School would have been far more fun.. And far less challenging. School is far easier than the reality of working for a living. Popular Post Mississippi Bullfrog Posted March 22 Popular Post Posted March 22 When I was at school I was in the wrong place at the wrong time and got landed with looking after one of the links between buildings to help guide the new sprogs to where they were meant to be. I was in the 6th form and was assisted by a girl from the 5th form who had also been nobbled. Anyway we got chatting, I treated her to hot chocolate from the 6th form tuck shop, and this year we've been married 41 years. Funny how things turn out. 10 2 Quote

Took pity on my ineffective efforts in physics and gave me some help. 45 years married now. 4 Quote
