  1. And don't discount float height too as this can also have an affect
  2. There would have been no one there to collect it or collect from
  3. I will only be happy if you have used the link on the forum
  4. I may have to move servers very soon due to outdated software on the current server! I am in talks with the sister company of the current host about transferring to them as it would be a smooth transaction The only sticky wicket at the moment is the monthly cost! If I stay paying monthly it more than triples but getting a 2 year plan paid in advance its about them same its just making sure I have enough to pay in advance as funds are running low! I'm not begging for money yet! just letting you all know the position we are in currently and what we have in store for the near future
  5. Can you not post them so we can all see them We are planning a trip up there soon so some new roads would be appreciated

  10. Winner winner chicken dinner I suspect you got the 256gb one which is only £50 difference to its not going to break the bank
  11. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!! Its cheaper through GiffGaff https://www.giffgaff.com/mobile-phones/google/google-pixel-8-pro/new I got my Pixel 7 pro from them no issues whatsoever
  12. As promised! jesus how bald am I getting in my old age I had to change the rear TPMS so I saw a perfect opportunity to record this As you can see with the right gear its quick and easy and no damage to the rims either The big bar I use to demount and mount the tyre has nylon ends
  13. Took the bike for MOT Passed with flying colours as usual 6700 miles between MOT's! not too shabby I suppose
  14. Stu

    Wobbly rear wheel

Check the rim to make sure its straight first It could just be the tyre not seated correctly

  17. It's a hard one to answer aas every relationship and situation is different I have been away a few times without the misses but not this bike! it was solely bought for the pair of us doing trips away But I should be going to Wales with the lads in September while me and the wife are away in July to Wales As for approaching it I just let her know what I am doing and when but we have no kids

    Next bike....

To continue on from this I have just had to buy two new tyre pressure monitor sensors! £140 lighter! which is £140 cheaper than BMW prices Same sensors sourced elsewhere but without the BMW badge on them You then need to have them programmed into the bike by BMW, a GS911 or the motoscan app. I have the GS911 so no worries there
  19. 2 questions How? and did you help?
  20. No! You can add your own to the map

    Next bike....

Yes the TL was named the widowmaker and for good reason! Before the R1200 I had an fjr1300 and didn't really got on with it! I could do long rides but I just didn't like the bike! When I got the R1200 I sold the fjr with the intention of buying a toy for myself! I can't keep off this bike and the second bike never happened! 3 years later the money is still sat in the bank from the sale of the fjr 350 miles days no issues at all. It makes a difference when you get a bike that you get on with and can ride all day. The bonus with that for you would be when you can get out you can at least have a really good long day and not have any aches and pains after
  23. I know you wasn't and I get where you are coming from I have re used seals and gaskets loads of times but for those in doubt then just change it not using the dealers parts As you say at worse it's going to be a very small drip which most of the time could even wait till the next service! If its worse than this there's usually a bigger problem
  24. But we aren't doing 27000 oil changes we are doing it once a year and sump washers are cheaper elsewhere! I have hundreds of them at the minute and change them if required I can't actually remember the last time I changed a sump washer but I know what I'm looking for as do you! Not everyone does so for the sake of a few pennies I advised to change it.

I can relate to this Had the TL1000s for 8 years! they can be made to handle OK but they are hard work! Anyway back to your original question 10 years and 8000 miles in that 10 years? and you're thinking of a GS? The GS isn't a cheap bike and at that sort of mileage would be an expensive ornament I hope you're planning on riding more Saying that since I have had the R1200RT I can't keep off it! I picked it up less than 3 years ago with 14k on the clock its not got 31k The GS is a fantastic bike and yes they can be expensive to repair but like anything you just hope and pray it behaves
