  1. Yes as above you will need to upload them to youtube or something like that nad share the link Videos would just kill the servers and the storage space unfortunately
  2. The average mileage for a bike is apparently 3k a year! My R1200RT had 14k on it when I bought it 3 years ago and now has over 35k on the clocks so 21k in 3 years of just fun riding and no commuting As @JRH says it's all about maintenance
  3. I have a car for work as does the wife the bike has always been a toy so I use it when I want basically As for riding in winter! I never used to but have done since I got the BMW! I go out on the good days and have had some fantastic rides

    Roadworks

Almost 5 years of roadworks on one road here plus various other road works going on too plus a main bridge that had to have an emergency closure It's just never ending
  5. Snap! Just over 1500 miles on a new tyre too! Pulled it off and plugged it already Oh and first ever puncture in 20 odd years of riding so good going really
  6. Yeah that's the trouble with this sort of thing
  7. Do you think this should have had its own thread to make it easier to find? It's all good info and will be useful to others
  8. If that's how you want to take it that's fine Just remember I'm not the one asking for advice on "My rights" when hitting a stationary vehicle. We just take that as you're trying to pull a fast one
  9. We point blank refuse to visit that place now! Every time we have been there has always been an issue! The last time was the final straw! We turned up early to have the staff scrambling around to try and get ready to open even though they was supposed to open an hour earlier. They was ringing round trying to get staff in and shouting and swearing down the phone! We finally ordered and was sat waiting for about 40 mins before food then they missed one and when he questioned it he was met with attitude! When he finally got his breakfast halfway through he found a huge black hair in it! We just left and have never returned
  10. At what point did I say you hadn't? I'm marely pointing out that you need to swap details and failure to do so is breaking the law. After that it's out of your hands
  11. I'm not been mean, you are asking for advice on what rights you have which implies you're trying to either get out of it or put blame on others. If you want to do the right thing just hold your hand up and pay for the damage. The owner of the bike will be the one who decides weather it's cash or insurance unfortunately and not yourself! Failure to provide these details will be breaking the law. If the person is reasonable and can get it repaired at a good cost then that's a bonus to you
  12. Could be! I will let you know in a bit
  13. Wtf! Summers left the building then
  14. Would you say that if you knocked over a small child? Stop clutching at straws and pay up to the owner! You hit a stationary object
  15. To be honest I think the bike is irrelevant! I would just check out the reviews on the types of tyres available I have mates who use the michelin Anakee with no complaints then one guy I know doesn't like them because someone told him they are crap I have a mate who uses the Pirelli scorpions and has had no issues and before that he had the Metzeler tourance again no issues
  16. Gave it a right good wash yesterday Only to go out and get caught in loads of rain meaning I had to wash it again Bled the brakes too Wales on Friday for the weekend
  17. I did exactly the same when one of mine snapped many years ago!

    What bike?

For what it's worth the bmw boxer engines are very good on fuel! I get an average of 59mpg not riding steady! When out touring fully loaded up with the missus on the back I can easily get 65 mpg
  20. Hi and welcome to the forum
  21. I was looking to go bridgestones I had a set on when I first got the bike but I can't remember what model they was! They felt good and was good in the wet too
  22. Michelin road 6 gt Thinking of trying something different next though as I'm looking at over 320 for the set and there is other tyres that are just as good these days!
  23. Fitted another rear tyre yesterday I'm going through one in less than a year at the moment Although the one I have just taken off still had a bit of life left in it but I'm off to Wales again in a couple of weeks so best to be safe than sorry
  24. It will all work they very rarely go wrong to be fair and when they do it's the spring inside which gives it the notchy feel as you turn it
  25. The wonderwheel has many uses! Learn what it all does before it pisses you off on the road Does yours allow the use of the connected ride app and sat nav directions on the screen?
