Usually if its had new seals etc then it would be the slide thats sticking

I use this
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifblock.motchecker&gl=GB
you can set it to remind you up to 30 days before your MOT is due

Wheres the bike? Newcastle/sunderland area?
I would get @Bender to deliver it he does nothing all day............
Personally I would be tempted to go have a look at the bike before you buy it and also ride it and ride it home too

Pretty sure its to be expected well except for the rank bit
Easy way to tell is does it have a gasket? if so its there to stop leaks

He must be getting paid enough to be out there doing it all!
it seems a bit strange to be honest

Not watched it but I was a bit puzzled that Brad Ray is only competing in the European rounds only

Fitted the centre stand today
The springs on this thing are pretty powerful! so much so that I ended up making a tool to fit the springs to make life easy
I also polished up my black widow downpipes and refitted them today
I then found half a clip on the floor! it had broken off the left foot peg pin! luckily I had a clip to fit
I then found the other half of the clip when I moved the bike

I was bitching to my son in law about my after market centre stand rusting all the time but it turned out his oem BMW one was no better.
Mass production for you!

I don't like pictorial instructions.
Do you prefer colouring in

you want to be thankful the instructions aren't translated from Chinese

If you don't keep it on a charger and you only ride every now and then and the bike has alarm and immobiliser there is a strong chance that the battery has been running low over a period of time
You need to check if you have good voltage when running and if so I would give the battery a good charge and then go from there

4k for a clutch to fail on a new bike!
I would be taking it further

LED's have come a long way in recent years, but from everything I've read they have/require a different reflector backing that standard halogen's.
Not exactly.
The problem lies with the LED is in a different position than that of a filament bulb which produces a different light scatter due to its position
There is LED's out there where they are set to the same as filament bulbs and you get the same scatter with no stray light
I bought these and they are spot on

I feel a poll coming up…
May I suggest I create a single thread in the touring section, holding a selection of routes for a specific region (I’m thinking of the French Alps since I have some already) to judge people’s reaction / get feedback? If positive then it might be worth creating a new section?
Knock yourself out

I don't mind adding it as a new section if thats what people want

My first thought was not to report on my rides but to provide a route resource for others wishing to tour. Whether U.K. or Europe (or anywhere?). Obviously open to everyone to contribute if they so wish.
Sort of like a GPS Routes & Best biking roads section?

I had some leds in the fjr and they were very good

I always thought that a ride report was more like a travel diary.
I'd be up for a section which read more like Biker's Britain.
It's for if you want to report on a decent ride or trip you have been on
I'm open to suggestions

You can easily post things like this in the ride reports section of the forum
