  1. That's what I was thinking Jo!
  2. The fluid won't expand under heat not only that once the lever is released there is no pressure on the slave and the fluid is free to flow back to the res so if the fluid did expand then it would just go back in the res
  3. Nope no limit
  4. I never really thought of kids that's why there is a big lack of info But anyway kids under the age of 16 are free I will update the first post when on the pc
  5. I would give it atleast 2 years before it does that
  6. bugger I thought it was going in too far The main thing is you wont have any problems with the piston hitting the plug like I first thought The bike would still run and I doubt you would notice a difference there's only one way to check!
  7. isnt the vt500 a Vtwin? I had a lot of bother with a vfr400 I ended up heating the rubbers with a hair drier for a long time so the whole rubber heated through not just the outside quick squirt of WD40 popped two carbs on one side then the other
  8. hold on Have I read this wrong Is the plug not going in as far as the others or further in then the others?
  9. It does look a lot more then that to be honest I was wondering if you could get away with a thick copper washer to space it but then you wouldn't know till you fitted it
  10. The T-shirts will get sorted closer to the time Terry and a thread will get put up in plenty of time as we did leave it a little late this year!
  11. That looks way too much to me but could be the camera angle! I would take it back to who did the repair and voice your concerns
  12. how much lower are you talking? you usually have a little clearance but you also have to allow for con rod stretch at high revs!
  13. I knew they would buy themselves back its probably a publicity stunt im going to lock this thread as we have one here viewtopic.php?f=3&t=45248
  14. anyone going this year? I think I will be giving it a miss as my days off are a bit all over the place for this one and I'm not going on a weekend! http://www.motorcyclelive.co.uk/
  15. I would look at the legal side of it first If you increase the power does your licence/cbt allow it? if not then you will be riding illegally and void your insurance and not riding according to your licence/cbt

    Battery?

There's only one way to see really Wait and see! You could do a drop test to see if it holds up under a load
  19. first thing I would do is tank to tank mpg and not guestimates then compare it to other bandit 1250 owners no point guessing as you could still have 15 litres of fuel left in the tank from th 3 fill ups!
  20. they are worth their gold arent they I also have a 12v electric impact driver with a half inch drive and a set of sockets to go with it that has been used loads of times they are great little things

    Speedo cable

It should come greased up already and don't use wd40 it will chase any oil in there out wd40 is not a lubricant it will dry out within weeks! If your going to use anything use a light oil

    Exhausts

If a copper knows that you have a none standard system that makes more power just by looking as you ride past then he will know how its restricted Let's get realistic a copper is not going pull you because it looks like you have a performance exhaust I mean the chance of that happening is a million to one And even if you do get pulled for whatever reason you would still be legal and so what if he wanted to test it let him its their time and their money
  25. Stu

    Exhausts

Because scooters are restricted in the exhaust so replacing it removes the restriction
