  6. is this a review of a bike you have owned ratser? if so it wants its own thread as it will just get lost in all the drivel also if you got it in 2008 its not a 2010 model like the thread title
  7. you talking the very end? as in about half an inch to an inch? if so it might be part of your gasket you may need a new one
  8. moved to pitstop!! it could be a number of things without taking the engine apart and having a look your not going to know first things i would do is remove plugs remove cam cover and turn it over by hand to see if you can see anything a miss on the top end if a ring has snapped chances are it will have scored the bore and will need a re bore and hone or maybe a sleeve inserting
  9. i have been trying to get a swap but its a no go for me
  10. not used it but its good stuff instructions here for tech wash and then you use TX.direct hope that helps
  11. coils can be had for £45 http://www.busters-accessories.co.uk/pr ... tion-Coils you could prbably get the lot for less then £60 a set still £120 notes though
  12. yeah david silver spares is the honda's guy you could replace coils with just pattern parts they are some good ones out there you need to narrow the problem though if you cant replace the lead it might be worth replacing the coils have you got 4 coils or just the 2 ? just re read you have two coils might just be worth replacing both with all new leads and caps?
  13. hmmm so you cant just replace the leads for £35 each then ? is this 35 quid for a new coil and lead?
  14. You can buy HT lead in lengths and but it down and would prob work out cheaper Also check plug caps
  15. moved to Clothing, Luggage and Accessories.
  16. Aren't you going on the t/cat? i recon she means meet up boothy!!
  17. personally i wouldnt trust it i wouldnt trust a chain with tight spots anyway the last thing you want is it snapping and taking your leg off the chain will make the new sprocket wear quicker and the new sprocket will also wear the chain quicker too the choice is yours though ps who was the machanic? any one i know round here?
  18. Who did you take the bike too? If your replacing the front I would do the full lot in one go Get a decent chain and sprocks and you will get 20k out of them if looked after If you buy just the front you will only need to replace it with the rest in a few thousand miles as they wear together
  19. oh and dont do it in the middle of bloody winter as most people seem to
  20. Ive been involved a little but not a lot make sure its all above board and its a registered charity your collecting for etc pick a meeting place and route to ride and a finish point inform the police too if the numbers are going to be high then spread the word there is online systems you can use now for collecting like justgiving hope that helps and im sure there will be others with a lot more info
  21. One to watch next year if you haven't seen them already. Saw these at Silverstone and our friend was racing one and its an actual GP too! http://www.ttxgp.com/ They do two classes I think its below 7.4Kw and above 7.4Kw its like 400s and 600s pace, Our friend (Rich #48) was in the class below 7.4Kw at Silverstone and did a 13 lap race where he had a poor start against 5 other riders who was all in the above 7.4Kw class so they had an advantage straight away, after the first lap he was last but slowly pulled it back to gain 2nd place then he started to run out of power!! Still this was brilliant considering he was racing against bigger more powerful bikes!! All this was after one practice session on the Friday and then racing on the Sunday! He was the only rider in his class so was guaranteed a podium but to do as well as he did against bigger bikes they took him to spa in belgium to race there!! Anyway heres some pictures of the day from the website it was also aired on motors TV. I did have some video but its rubbish! http://www.ttxgp.com/gallery/main_1309785488__20110619_162957.jpg http://www.ttxgp.com/gallery/main_1309785683__20110619_164659.jpg http://www.ttxgp.com/gallery/main_1309785815__20110619_170407l.jpg http://www.ttxgp.com/gallery/main_1309784804__20110619_163113.jpg http://www.ttxgp.com/gallery/main_1309784246__20110619_114851.jpg Also while we was there one of the bikes caught fire and the fire brigade put water over an electric bikes which caused a reaction and made it worse! Batteries!! To put things in to perspective a bit too the above burnt bike was worth £250,000 the one Rich was racing cost £6000 to build! Watch out for it next season its worth a watch
  22. a new one of mine all shiny
  23. to me thats the right price at a dealer try and find a independent mechanic they will probably do it cheaper valve clearances wont need checking at that mileage providing the miles are correct

The DSA will be able to provide you with a duplicate Pass certificate, please call their Customer Services number on 0300 300 1122.
