  2. the only thing that bothers me about things like this is we will pay for it in the end simple!! insurance will go up council tax will go up to pay for repairs to council property there will be more "cuts"
  3. errr no!! you wouldnt see a train leaving the track and driving round town now would you
  4. if you want me to have a go for you post it to me i will happily strip it and rebuild it for ya
  5. i use the same caliper on my bike and not had no problems at all post it my way if you want
  6. if the calipers are looked after they are fine if you can get a good one strip it down clean everything up and use copper slip where its supposed to be i did my mates caliper over 7 years ago now and is still fine nothing seized you need to look after them though atleast once a year pull the pins clean them up and copper slip them
  7. almost all suzuki's have that same rear caliper
  8. and the pins will come out in other ways rather then drilling i did a rear brake on a bandit for a mate i ended up stripping the caliper and splitting it leaving the pins in at one side soaking in a pag of WD40 for a while followed by a little heat and pair of mole grips you can grip the pins when the other half of the caliper is out the way
  9. Why don't you all look them up properly as they have been designing and testing these for years and are as good a a tent with poles also they aren't easy to puncture and they are a honeycomb design so if they do puncture they won't go down
  10. you will know if its slipping get it to a decent speed in 4th/5th and floor it if the revs rise but the car goes nowhere its new clutch time
  11. It defo sounds like its restricted Otherwise it wouldn't rev out in some gears and not others As already stated you off to remove tank and airbox and carbs to rremove the washers it it really easy to do
  12. Sounds like clutch slip Are revs rising yet the cars not really pulling?

    outer forks

if you can afford to have the bike off the road for about 2 weeks why not get a tin of silver paint and some laquer and strip the paint off and repaint them they will be as good as new then
  14. its probably some sort of breather and that filter type thing is a charcoal filter never need to touch it
  15. even if it is restricted it should rev all the way to the redline eventually does it rev freely when in nuatral? take it for a ride to warm it up fully stop somewhere and give it a nice handfull of revs and see if it goes past/to the red line it should do in nuatral also as someone else has said what is your location???? it could be that a member is just round the corner and can pop round to take a look
  16. i have fitted a gear indicator to a bike before but not a bandit you will need a haynes manual with a wiring diagram for your bike and just follow the instructions
  17. a bit of googling brings up the gsxr1000 k7 shock will fit the 600 and the 07> hayabusa can fit too
  18. the hayabusa shock fits some model not sure which though
  19. yup a jack up kit is what you want a lot of people jack them up because of this problem also adjust your pre load too so the shock doesnt bottom out
  20. now download this http://www.janboersma.nl/gett/index.php
