  1. see ya dont know what system the shoei uses phil but im sure its better then the Arai
  2. glad its not just me then
  3. is it just me or does anyone else think the system they use to remove the visor is crap i always feel like im going to break it
  4. Same here mate.... Just top notch service, and nice to see they are happy to correct their mistakes... got an OE Arai visor and visor pouch for £35 delivered as for iridium it used to be only a coating on the visor so scratched and peeled off easily i think they have improved it over the years as its more hard wearing
  5. i would go to the place where you bought them first

    Wax or Oil

ok i will take the plunge and guess its the chain then i use oil no wax for me people say wax is no fling and all sorts of crap but ive cleaned wax off back tyres and rims before today even with the "best" on the market also a wax catches all the grit and salt off the road and turns it into a grinding paste that is sat in your chain doing a nice job of wearing it out oil doesnt hold the grit as easy i prefere the wet look on a chain not dry lube

    Wax or Oil

    for the chain ?
  8. jota i would really recomend the tomtom software as theres a really neat program you can use to plot routes using google maps then load them to the sat nav
  9. i think the inner cage creates the seal so all air is passed through the filter does any of the cages fit in or over the K&N ? im sure you use the outer and have to drill holse in the K&N edge for the bolts
  10. with most sat navs there is no way of fitting it to the bike securley and they arent waterproof the tomtom rider is made for bikes and comes with a proper mount
  11. it had two cages one for inside and one outside the outside one holds the filter in place i think
  12. the switch is made out of plastic and the nut is also plastic it is attached to the switch the spring shouldnt really extend if it does then there isnt enough free play in the switch and is probably adjusted too much already personally i would remove the spring then the switch and operate it by hand to see if it works properly it should pull down easily the return on its own as there is a return spring inside the switch PS im hoping the switch is the same design i have seen on most bikes pics of the swith would help
  13. the brake light switch is a simple design where the spring pulls a plunger down to turn the light on the down side is they where very easily and get covered in road crap you may find you might have to strip is to clean it up to get it working properly or adjust it properly to adjust it you have to remove it from its mount and there is an adjuster nut for you to twiddle with till you get it right
  14. whats up with it ? im sure members off here can advise its realy not as hard as you think
  15. Yes, Yes you do mate. It will pay for itself in one summer in the ammount fuel you will save by not getting us lost.  i have just fitted mine to my bike take a look at my thread in pitstop
  16. thats the same as what i have they work ok not the best but still good the pipes are adaptors you get different sizes some bikes dont have the nipple on the carb they are screws in the inlets that you remove and replace with the pipes what sort of size are these bungs ? i might be able to use one or two
  17. ideally you need a twin gauge one minimum as on some bikes the adjusting screws can alter 2 carbs at once and yes you must have it plugged if you have a bit of vac hose use a short piece and stick a screw in one end and the other on the carb and there you have a temp fix till you get a new plug
  18. mate for the weekend you will need fuel to vicks and back about £30 fuel while you are here if your lucky and £30 for beer and food as we all put to and buy in bulk £5 a week soon have it mate

    so the work starts!!

yeah i ment that too well after leaving the undertray on my dads boiler over night to dry it out some more i decided to fit it, its not as hard as i would have liked but it should be fine my bike is now all back on the road still havent washed the bike yet but managed to get out for a quick ride on it and that rear shock has transformed it the front forks need sorting now though they can wait a bit though as im slightly skint the finishing touch was to fit my tomtom rider so after a short time head scratching and bending and drilling some flat bar i had a nice mount for it Mounted on the mirror bolts its solid as a rock
  22. well its too late now you have them from what i can gatehr they are ok why npt try them for a few months then update this thread with what you think to them

i thought when i looked at the pic someone would say something if you must know it was a piss take as one of the guys was leaving his tools all over the place so we gave him a corner in the lock up whats the rush ? im only a week behind MY schedule i wont ride my bike in shitty weather anymore i dont see the point i wanted it to be on the road for today and im now only waiting for my paint to harden on my undertray so not too bad if you ask me
