  1. Ah right, that's not you singing at the front of the picture then? @Fiddlesticks
  2. Hi Paul, pleased to (virtually) meet you.
  3. Welcome to the forum. It's almost 40 years since I passed my test, so can't offer any advice there, but welcome.
  4. Welcome to the forum Steve.
  5. Sounds like you kept your cool, and made the rest of us look good at the same time.
  6. I'm cleaning my bike, ready for another 45 minute trip to the menders, probably in the rain, either way, it'll be a good ride.
  7. Well, that's the fantasy, but not in bloody Haverhill, up in those Texas hills. Having mucked out stinking horses (I don't usually), and making my back sore, and also finding that my JCB has a blow-out which can't be fixed until Monday, along with my tractor being at "the menders", I'm going to go heavily into that fantasy today. At least my farmer friend is taking pity and will lend me a tractor for a couple of days.
  8. I've resisted for so long, but I might just have to get an Instagram account. I don't even do FB anymore.
  9. Wow!! For a Grumpy Old Git, you look great in white lingerie......
  10. I have to admit, I do have an ongoing daydream of living in the USA and living the dream. Currently dating a red haired Texan called Mary-Lou, who loves cruising mountain roads on a HD.
  11. Not to mention "route".
  12. So, @Joe85 did you have a good blap about?
  13. Dang, just had to spend 2 1/2 hours driving my pick-up, all the while bikes are everywhere
  14. Seriously good result. I'd be proper chuffed with that.
  15. Oh bugger, I searched the wrong tyre So sorry. I'll get myself another beer......
  16. No personal experience but, have you read this https://www.motorcyclenews.com/bike-kit/tyres/metzeler-roadtec-01-se-review/
  17. Hi Gaz, did you look at the link in the post above? https://www.pedparts.co.uk/bikes/peugeot/speedfight-100cc/starter-and-kickstart-parts?by=&dir=ASC&limit=30&
  18. Oh man, I only ride at the speed limits. Whilst I do have my moments, I'm definitely a cautious rider, and I like to enjoy just getting naturally and smoothly through bends without putting too much thought into it other than, "I wonder what's for dinner tonight?".. Taking just the shine off the outside edge of tyres does seem like a fair idea. Once I've done my pretty slow and twisty 25 mile ride home and she's back indoors, I'll have an idea of what "shine" is left.
  19. Excellent stuff, you must be relived it's not going to implode on itself.
