  1. So, my new Nolan N100-5 fits superbly well, but as per another thread, the vision wasn't great. It turns out that I hadn't forgotten to remove the protective film, but that it was pretty grubby between the Pinlock and the visor. I removed the Pinlock to give it all a clean, but the silicon seal partly stuck to the visor, rendering it useless. I spent quite some time putting the seal back on the Pinlock, but I was left with excess, as I'd obviously stretched it a little. Helmet City are on the case, and I'm hoping they'll send a new Pinlock. With difference in clarity, I'm thinking that I won't fit it though, I barely use the bike in the winter (although, I do on crisp, dry days), and I think I'll just pop that visor open a tad, just like in the 90's/2000's. I imagine you all use Pinlock because they come with pretty much every helmet, but would you replace it?
  2. Gotta love stainless pipework! Hope the health is easily repaired..
  3. Hi Boz, I've seen a couple of YouTube reviews of the GB350, and they're very positive. These machines are all run by sensors and power management, I'm not sure that changing a filter will really achieve much. I could be completely wrong though.
  4. Welcome to the forum @bozzie
  5. Crikey, some serious milage over the weekend chaps, I'm not going to mention my measly 37 miles......
  6. You must ordinarily, have very good bandwidth. I don't think our measly 67 megabits would cut it.

    Touring

Hi @johnkalbo, and welcome to the forum. The Versys has a good reputation (as far as I know), but whichever you choose, if you're planning to go two-up more often than not, I would go for 1000cc versions of the bikes you choose. It would probably work out more economical to run a bigger engine, whilst touring with the extra weight of pillion and luggage.
  8. Enjoyed that, cheers. Looks like a comfy aircraft, he's got more cameras than the BBC!!
  9. @V650 Out of interest, is the alarm remote controlled? (It's pretty obvious it is), but does it automatically arm if the bike is left for a while?
  10. Those extra indicators are a great idea @V650, good placement too.
  11. That's a vey nice picture @Bender, you're obviously a bit of a Tog. Rivets though, rivets are hard work, and take time, which is why they use them less and less, which in turn is why nothing lasts..... I love seeing the odd YouTube videos of guys making and hammering rivets into big steelwork.
  12. It's got to be worth moving to Oz, just for the sense of humour. I wonder how many takes were needed, that's quite a mouthful she had.
  13. I can't unsee that now.......
  14. Ran out of time to fetch some tags for Challenge 25, so just had an hour around the local potholes. Enjoyed myself though, apart from the new Nolan visor, great field of view, but not very clear. Might have to check that I haven't left the film on the Pinlock.
  15. Wishing you well @Bianco2564
  16. £20! That's nuts...... (I'll get my coat)
  17. Good morning bikers It's -2 outside, so I left the heating on all night. I just turned it down a few degrees. If I didn't have the heating on through the night, it drops to 13 degrees in here.
