  1. You might need to replace the battery if it's knackered. Just make sure it's charged before you do anything hasty, also, if you use the kick start to get it going, can you put a multi-meter on the battery to make sure the bike is charging whilst running. Either way, the same type of battery should do the job. As it happens, have you tried jump starting with a spare battery or car battery?
  2. It's the first helmet I bought after 24 years, so.... I doesn't fit It's just slightly too big, if I slam it, it moves down my face. It's not massive on my head though. At least I'll be able to make sure the next one is the right fit.
  3. It's a bugger to shut, I either slam it, or put one hand behind whilst pushing it shut with the other.
  4. Although my full face is more comfy than my flip, I always revert to the flip. HJC i90.
  5. I simply have my own proof that the products I use do work. Much like yourself, I'm allowed to express my opinion.
  6. Good morning bikers
  7. Although I did watch this video, I've stopped watching F9, apart from the induced boredom, no matter how he conducts his experiments, I take them with a pinch of salt, he's no scientist (neither am I). I've used the Screwfix fuel additive for a couple of years, whatever happens in those fuel tanks of my machinery is a mystery, but I know one thing, my machinery starts and runs brilliantly when I use the additive. That's all the science I need. Also, I used Seafoam in my car and bike for cleaning the fuel system, not for storage, and that too made a huge difference, especially to the performance and fuel consumption of my car. My car returned back to it's original 34Mpg, after it had dropped to low 20'sMpg.
  8. I use this https://www.screwfix.com/p/no-nonsense-fuel-additive-250ml/9631x It's brilliant, and I use it in my 2-stroke garden machines, which literally start second pull after winter. I've used it in my bike without issues, but I ended up riding every few weeks in winter.
  9. Good morning bikers
  10. Welcome to the forum @aroundtheukin3months You've come to the right place, because none of us know what we're doing either Ask away, we'll do our best.
  11. You have a day off work today RWS?
  12. You've already started the claim and cost them money. As @Mickly says, it can get very expensive. Find out from Bennetts what to do, and do it via email so you have a record.
  13. Good morning bikers
  14. Welcome to the forum B. Conway
  15. Happy birthday Fred
  16. Good morning bikers
  17. @george1821 Start with something really easy and simple, the spark plugs. What you describe is a classic spark plug issue. It could be coils etc, but I would expect those to be a problem when also cold. Then thermostat/sensor.
  18. That's because every "hoodie" in the world wants to steal your CBF125, but not an NX500.
  19. Good morning bikers
  20. To ensure that you either continue on to getting a full licence, or to stop altogether. Do you want the roads full of learners, or bikers?
  21. Not so much a joke, but quite amusing.. https://youtube.com/shorts/F91JcOlB9vk?si=7qgAMMvcVH2YgIR4
  22. Crikey, you don't hang about... Fingers crossed for you.
  23. @Gerontious There's nothing for it, but to buy a new bike..... A thorough pre-rinse is useful, and I've even washed a car whilst raining, great results were had, and just a leathering to dry when the rain stops.
  24. Was sat on the loo 20 minutes ago and thought some feckers had let fireworks off outside the window. It was quite scary to realise that it was the power lines. We still have power though.
  25. @Grumpy Old Git I've actually done that, I cut a large branch which knocked me from the ladder. I fell backwards into a dry ditch, chainsaw still in my hand. It was "pretty uncomfortable" and not something I'm proud of
