  1. @curlylegend Deserted roads, 14 degrees and a beach sounds like a great holiday, but you actually live there. Very nice indeed.
  2. Good morning bikers
  3. That's a proper tidy machine!
  4. Hey @ThomasDC welcome back to motorbikes, and welcome to the forum. The single, best piece of advice is as above, get a proper workshop manual. It really is worth paying for the book, and not a cheap eBay download. The cheap downloads are photocopies of the real thing, and are terrible quality.
  5. Good morning bikers
  6. @Hairsy Could you borrow a Windows laptop? Just to rule out that virtual serial layer.
  7. Hi @Dammt, that's a very narrowly targeted question. However, someone may have them and offer an opinion. Meanwhile, welcome to the forum.
  8. Sadly, we're also trying that too. A few years ago we did get one at Boots the chemist. We're all killing retail, even pharmacies.
  9. I'd have it if I could get it. Every time we try to book it, there's no availability.
  10. Good morning bikers
  11. There's a few threads on here. Here's one for starters. Also, does your insurance specify that the bike has to be garaged over night? Chained under cover around the back is way better than at the front. Thieves love 125's https://themotorbikeforum.co.uk/topic/52445-storage-size/
  12. Firstly, it's good to hear Sue is up and about, secondly, have a great, and cidertastic afternoon.
  13. This is so important, and often very much overlooked, so it seems you've already made a good decision. For a long time Chinese bikes were thought to be badly made with little support for maintenance, but it seems this is rapidly changing with manufacturers like Voge and CF Moto leading the way. Congratulations on your purchase @laughsatcats, welcome to the forum, and welcome to biking

  15. Welcome to the forum @Jimbo1976
  16. Is that why we always see them with tin foil, or a piece of ply over the grille?
  17. Wow! Thank goodness for quick thinking, well done for the save. "Happy birthday darling, sorry about the charred remains of the garage" Probably wouldn't have gone down well.
  18. I'm pretty sure: Eco mode is washing for longer because it uses less water and less heat. Pretty counter intuitive, as it uses more electricity from washing for longer...
  19. Did you get the cider in?
  20. As above, whichever bike you really want. You don't want the financial hit of buying a bigger bike after six months. Besides, with that style bike, you'll not be jumping on something that does 120Mph in 5 seconds, you'll have have plenty of control, and easy balance.
  21. So once it has a "Q" plate, can a private plate not be applied afterwards?
  22. @dani Yes indeed. You buy the registration. You can then use it on any vehicle that you wish, but it mustn't make that vehicle look newer than it actually is. A private plate is registered to the person. I think you then have to inform the DVSA which vehicle you use it for(?)
  23. Good morning bikers
  24. Might as well send it back then mate Of course though, it sounds absolutely superb.
  25. Yes, they won't let me take the drugs. Maybe when I get worms
