  1. Good morning bikers
  2. Yeah, can you imagine using cash to pay for things.....
  3. @rennie Hopefully Sue will be making a good recovery and you therefore have to be the nurse maid. If so, we want pictures of you in uniform...
  4. Well F**K me!!! It was the valves, I've spent the past 6 months pumping my darned tyres up, even every day on holiday. The feckers that fitted new tyres in the spring didn't change the valves. They were corroded on the seat of the rim. This has now been sorted. Jeeeeeeez.
  5. It's been a treat reading your progression, it's a lot more positive than you probably realise. Good stuff Chris, soon to be "Biker Chris".
  6. That's a good idea. I've always assumed though, that wherever the wheels were leaking air from, I wouldn't be able to to do anything about it. Knowing my luck, it's something simple like the valve cores, which I did tighten.
  7. If fitting a baffle isn't an option, loosely scrunch up some chicken wire, this would reduce the noise, but still allow the exhaust gas to escape.
  8. @matt.ware0476 You might have overdone it and actually be preventing the exhaust from escaping properly, so the oily gas (it's a two stroke 125?) is condensing when cool, and running back down, then out through that tiny gap. Reducing noise isn't about blocking the exhaust from exiting, it's about baffling the sound by preventing it from shooting straight from the end of the can. If each end of the can is say 50mm, then the inserted baffle should have holes in it to equal 50mm. So two holes in the baffle at 25mm each, wouldn't reduce the sound as much as a baffle with five holes drilled to 10mm each, but both baffles would allow the same amount of exhaust gas to escape.
  9. I had a Z1300 for a few years, I'd love another. Or the CBX I briefly had, that was a stonking machine.
  10. Good morning bikers
  11. Well, my old bike passed it's MOT, with just a rear suspension bush advisory. It's still there though, I chatted with the guy about my 4 PSI per day loss in each of my tyres, and he said he'd take the wheels off, and put them in a bath to see where they were leaking from. Then he forgot I like the place, it's not a dealers, it's just a bike workshop on an industrial estate. I told him there's no rush, so I'll probably see it next week.
  12. That's a legend right there. Good job they're small tanks.
  13. Oh right, I didn't realise you meant brake lever lock! I was thinking of lock mechanisms As @Mississippi Bullfrog suggests, don't use one for long periods, in fact, they don't have much of a reputation for being at all effective.
  14. Scrubbed my original meaningless response
  15. Hope you have a great day today @Mawsley Enjoy your HD, and your iPhone
  16. @Mawsley Aaaaaaand, the weather's good
  17. Nope... They invent they're own vows
  18. Good morning bikers
  19. That's good news @rennie
  20. The Australian one is the best.
  21. That's a bargain!
  22. This is great mate, it'll be running soon.
  23. Apparently, roadkill deer are no good for meat. The adrenaline from being hit and injured spoils the meat. Whereas shooting them (properly) kills them instantly.
