  1. Good morning bikers
  2. Well done, that's got to be a true baptism of fire. I had a Z1300 which was naked, only bothered by wind and buffeting past 100. You've definitely bought a decent and smart bike. Stay safe.
  3. Noooooooooo What happened, or, what didn't happen?
  4. So next time you buy something bike related, don't go straight to Amazon, have a look at the big shops like Sportsbikeshop and J&S Accessories, get an idea of what you'll get for your budget, then if you really have to, order a decent brand (not necessarily expensive) from Amazon. To be fair, those two big retailers are very competitively priced, and your money would be well spent.
  5. Also, just another thing regarding fogging. When it's cold, and you're riding slowly, don't be tempted to open the visor wide, this will also make the inside cold, so it'll fog even more. I reminded myself of this, because it did this whilst riding through the fog in Germany recently
  6. Hi @ChrisBiggsUK Welcome to the forum. Sitting indoors typing is definitely going to fog most helmets. You need a draught, even with a Pinlock fitted, you're probably going to get fogging without a little draught. So riding with the chin vent open is a good start, don't ride with the helmet flipped open, but just have the visor open enough to get your thumb through. Also, on the visor where it hinges, there should be a visor number, which you'll need for your pinlock. Helmetcity.co.uk might be able to help.
  7. Yep, found it in the manual. The spindle unwinds from the right side. The only detailed part in the manual is realigning the speedo gears.
  8. Good morning bikers
  9. Good new @rennie Hope Sue makes a good recovery.
  10. Good point
  11. Both callipers will be coming off. This will make wheel removal easier, and I'm replacing the pads. More importantly, it'll make wheel replacement easier
  12. Happy birthday, have a good day
  13. The calipers will be coming off to fit new pads. Yes, non ABS, less faffing.
  14. Good morning bikers
  15. Thank you for your time, much appreciated. When DHL finally deliver my new discs, I'll update.
  16. I do like the Zumo, looks like a good position.
  17. This is what I have, same thing but different sizes?
  18. @peepae That's damned good going, well done!
  19. Maybe, just maybe, I'll look at the handbook
  20. Do front wheels have a spindle that's threaded either end? Or, is it an inverted nut that winds into a cavity? I've ordered the tool that fits into the inverted wheel socket/thingy, but, there's one each side. Am I going to need two of the said tools, or will I be doing one side at a time? Am I over thinking it, does Paddington bear really like marmalade? Cheers
  21. You're lucky that you know what you're doing. Some folk would have to spend a fortune on a plumber. I like using a plunger, I recently discovered that the upward (suck) action on a plunger actually clears so much quicker than the downward stroke. Basin filled with water, of course.
  22. Hi @rennie Hope that light at the end of the tunnel is nice and bright.
  23. Good morning bikers
  24. Have a great trip. Don't worry, the excitement and adrenalin will keep you safe. I did 11 hours on the bike after 4 hours sleep, it wasn't an issue. Try not to eat too much when you stop for a break, and take plenty of breaks.
