  1. Just to clarify When I bought it we did go through the menus etc, I obviously didn't spot the guy pushing to the right. Due to me waiting for my test I was just having a fiddle to connect my phone via the app. I gave the nob a rotational twizsle and decided I need to check online after concluding I'm missing something obvious (I was clearly too millenial to consider using the hand book) I'll go and click it right shortly. I presume all works correctly and I was just being stupid.
  2. Sounds worth a ride. Unfortunatley a lot of this is my day to day, it's definately something I'd like to support. A topic that seems very under reported considering its the number one cause of death in men IIRC
  3. 23 plate with 2k ish on it dude 3 hours 20 from me. We shall see, my missions will be weather dependant. Thanks for the tip, luckily it's ready to go providing I pass on the 10th haha
  4. All in good jest ,)
  5. I also had some cycling habits that I had to get rid of when I started riding motorbikes. I do ride with clip n pedels but normally unclip the left foot when coming to a stop. Cyling definatley helped during the CBT and Mod 1 etc
  6. I've actually moarked the entire forum as read, now I only see the new threads under "unread" so its pretty easy to keep up with new posts etc. Bloody Stu cant get the staff these days haha
  7. Good tyres are never a waste of money! Enjoy your 3000k miles! Can't wait till im out and cruising europe
  8. Cannot wait gto get out on the bike now! Exhaust is on, sounding unsocialbly loud, all panels back on and nice and clean, bar end mirrors looking sharp. Hopefully 10th September is its maiden voyage! Excited like a little kid now haha
  9. Where is the event? I do have my test just before so a slight chance I can have a ride out
  10. Exactly this. I'd probably go with the cash option tbh Fair enough dude. Can't be fun, I'm slowly developing similar issues
  11. Ye that was what lead me yo question it's function with it not working vertically. I will have a try again tomorrow and most likely conclude I was just having a brain fart moment
  12. How come? Apologies if I've missed the previous discussion
  13. I didn't realise the scroll wheel moved to the left and right when I tried it earlier. The bike lives 10 mins away with a local mechanic so I'll try again tomorrow most likely. Upon reflection I should of just checked the manual I do remember going through the menu when I first collected the bike and considering it hasn't moved since I presume I was just being an idiot rather than it has broken whilst stationary......
  14. Unfortunately I can't award you all SOLUTION I'll double check when I'm with the bike tomorrow but reading the fvcking instructions has clarified many points haha. I'm so used to forums being the first port of call for most questions rather than the manual that was in the draw right next to me
  15. As someone who also lived abroad I can relate to the family wanting her to move back, I had similar. Imo sticking it out will hopefully allow her to grow, adapt and get stronger. Moving home, for me anyway was a mistake. I am actually trying to get my missus on board to move to Poland with me and our son. Do your best to support her and encourage staying where she is. Obviously my opinion is very loosely applied to her situation with me not knowing all the details but moving home to the security of family is the easy way out of what could turn out to be a worthy battle if she stays
  16. Well bugger me if that's not a good idea it's been so long since I've reffered to an actual paper manual it never even occoured to me. I shall be retro and RTFI
  17. Am I right in thinking this toggle wheel moves the menu left and right? Mine appears to do nothing Menu up and down works via the menu switch, I can't for the life in my work out how to move to the right? Is my spinney wheel broken?
  18. I've ended up with a quote for £700 for a F900R which I've ended up buying. I find it nuts some places even quoted £6k on a 200bph bike with zero experience. Pretty much gaurenteed to die in the first few rides "having a crack" at riding something with that power straight out of the test center If I wasn't so far I'd be down for some noob rides
  19. Great to hear. Got my mod 2 booked for early September. I'm also learning on a gladius, pretty decent bike from my limited experience. Nice to see your not faffing around and getting something decent, I've gone a similar route despite what seems to be the general consensus
  20. Got some Oxford bar end mirrors that seem very nicely made
  21. Mye nuu HJC came with a free pinlock IIRC. Very chuffed with the helmet tbh, also my first. Banging lid IMO
  22. Can we just get back to busses being cvnts please, we're diviating from the initial point here gents
