  1. Kinda. A little more Rocky than Basil. The main similarity being both Basil and I absolutely disregarded every aspect of dignity whilst I prepared to chin a seagull
  2. 7 minutes to descend underground fvck that
  3. I remember pretty much swinging for several seagulls in my sons defence as they dive bombed him for his food. Upon reflection it was probably pretty funny watching a man frantically flailing at cackling gulls with a sugared doughnut in his mouth
  4. He did recently post that he's earning about £90-130 a month IIRC and is either gonna push to post weekly or sack it off. Editing is tone consuming, not to mention the delay talking through the entire job. I appreciate his efforts and have taken much from the videos
  5. Cheers. I very much misjudged how violent this pipe was going to be
  6. I probably posted in the project thread but here's a quick snap from last week. Still to refit the lower fairing. I will almost certianly end up putting a more civil end can on after my first few weeks of childish noise making becomes less novel.
  7. https://absolutereg.co.uk/news/motorcycle number plate laws May be of use
  8. I presume a person apply 400nm? That's a fair old figure The socket required for 22k nm must be colossal
  9. Ye I'm also not thrilled by a £10 Ali express device holding my throttle in place
  10. Nope. Mod 2 is booked for 10th September, zero chance I'm risking points for a quick ride. I get enough opportunities to ring the cars neck to avoid temptation
  11. Refitted the baffle and sanded away the "not for road use" etching from the end can followed by a cheeky buff back to finish
  12. 4 1/2 months being you drinking beer in the shed under the guide that your working tho right?
  13. For years I was diasapointed that despite what school kept telling me, strangers very rarely offer you drugs
  14. Got a link / supplier name to share dude?
  15. Excellent idea
  16. Oh certainly on all points. I already have an alarmed disc lock. After searching for security devices etc Instagram now shows me all the little scrotes robbing bikes for some infuriating reason hence my interest in other options. As sickening as these videos are it has given me a good insight to their approaches. The bike is fine where it is overnight, it lives with a local mechanic in a secure unit with no break ins in 15 years I'm told. My main concern is when I plan trips away / overnight stays. I get it's not overly cheap, £200 really isn't an issue to me if it does as described / compared to a traditional disc lock.
  17. 100% on the tool and part quality point. Any job is far and away more pleasant with the correct tools and good fitting parts.
  18. 9/10 videos his compressor kicks in just as he starts to speak haha "Jesus fvcking christ are you having a giraffe" I agree with the methodical approach. I'm tempted to join his discord server, it's only $1 a month for basic access to what is effectivley a repair forum.
  19. Something along these lines is a good idea. If you wanted to build familiarity also use the above approach but refit straight after. Each time adding the next stage. It won't take long till your pretty comfortable with the basics and this will increase each time. Doing your best to get your head round the process beforehand will also help. Choose the job you fancy, make a thread, ask about any possible difficulties that may arise etc then plan a day to make a start. Buying a set or takeaway tubs, baggies and marker pens is also a good idea. Left fairing bolts in 1 labeled bag, right fairing bolts in another etc. Use masking tape and a marker to denote any electrical connectors you remove
  20. I'll rattle can it orange for a 5er Day light robbery
  21. I think his point was the fact it's a single sided item as well as being unsprung rather than it's weight
  22. The guys excellent. Very technical blended with just the right amount of "FT" torque settings etc Does plenty of long, multi part videos and from my 3 weeks of watching has yet to be beaten.
  23. I was going to say similar when someone suggest cleaning previously I have a small one, excellent in some ways and very disappointing in others.
  24. Figured I'd share the account. I've really enjoyed some of the very technical vids covering certain repairs. Guy seems to really know his beans. The geeks among us will appreciate his approach and knowledge https://youtube.com/@superbikesurgerytv?si=ZHri0mORhhMGrxEA
