    Bad fuel?

Yes it feel's quite a little more sluggish, especially on hills! by the love of god it's still not as bad as a scooter going up a hill though so can't complain too much except it diden't use to happen

Honda Cbr 125: Hello again guys, fixed the battery problem now onto something else. Recently 2 days ago i fueled up and rode home after another interview, after 10-20mins of riding the bike diden't sound the same it seem's quite "farty" normally the engine sounds good and quite sporty but i've come to the conclusion it sounds quite alittle bit like a CG while accelerating. now it does sound how it normally does but while accelerating after switching gears you can hear a "farty" noise until it hit's really high RPM it's not massively noticeable, but once you ride the same bike for a year you seem to be able to tell the slightest difference. Now i've changed oil last night, so that's crossed off, i've checked the whole exhaust system no holes. thats when i noticed i filled up then it started, could that be the case?
  7. Personal experince here, but could be wrong, last thursday my battery would not charge while "reving" but would pump 13.2 or so while idle, the alternator i did not check, but the regulator needed replacing which fixed the issue, personally i would go with the gamble of the reg/rec due to the fact that fixed my issue, but as you already are testing the alt keep doing that for now.
  8. Ordered a new regulator, as the one that was on seemed cracked at the plug, and diden't seem to fit correctly size wise, all works perfect now! Thanks guys <3
  9. Thank you very much littlecat, tok it apart the reg doesn't seem too hot to be honest all seem's fine, in higher revs it does about 12.5, just noticed there is a bike mechanic across the road, i might politely ask him if he could have a quick look as he mots bikes quite alot and seems very legit to be honest, if not i might take you up on that offer next week if it still stands. Will let you all know if he nips over tomorrow fingers crossed he will have a quick look.
  10. I'm currently visiting grandparents at filey, had to jump start the bike at brighouse to get up here, and a nice cheeky push start at a petrol station.... i have the volotmeter now, it would honestly be easier to pm me over here for advise incase you was going to nip over brighouse, + i really don't like wasiting peoples weekend riding time <3 and also not sure when im going home yet. But i will strip the bike panels down tomorrow and check all wiring also should i place my hand over the reg once i've gotten to that? if so how long will it normally be able to tell if it's getting too hot (timespan) I was going to try get funds to do it in a garage but to be honest, once again i think i would rather learn and enjoy trying to fix the problem myself and understand similar problems in the future, Thanks btw littlecat
  11. Need acess to the toolbox until tomorrow morning, will get to the rec tomorrow morning if possible will keep reading each post to keep thinking what the problem can be as this is 3rd battery since i've had the bike including the one that came with it. i do short trips often but it blaggs me that idle produces more charge than having high revs, also will check all wiring tomorrow to make sure it's not corroded somewhere. Note: i cannot turn lights off on this bike as its normal beam or high beam only. edit: think it's losing current somewhere as if it's over charging i wouldent need to charge battery with a real charger on its first death
  12. 13.09 battery with volto, idle and rpm = 13.30-14 is this correct? i should i start looking for problems? Edit: the more RPM = 12.90?!?!!?!?
  13. Yes i have a multimeter in the garage in a couple of hours once i get it back, I'm at filey at the moment, but i'm from brighouse close to halifax and hudds/elland. What would be the best steps for me to take first? i've looked on the internet but only really read to dead unends (unfinished threads) or something completely different. Would it be best putting voltmeter or the terminals while the bike is running at 5k rpm for example? what is the normal charge generated through the charging system? can't remember why but i think it's around 13.5-14.5? i personally thought this battery died from short trips too many at that but i just can't be sure at the moment.
  14. your thinking of a trickle charger, that's ideal only if you don't plan to use the bike battery for a couple of weeks or something similar, not ideal or really wont charge the battery over night, but even with a trickle charger you can't really use it out and about. edit atleast i was thinking of a trickle chargers, my bad lol!
  15. Hello guys, i've again had to replace a battery 2 in a year, so i noticed something must not be right with the bike or the battery must of been complete crap, Replaced it today and decided to ask the people at the garage if they could check if the correct volts are going through while the bike is revving to check the charging system, now they say it doesnt work, and it could either be the alternator or the regulator that is not working correctly, i've had so many problems with this bike that it is really starting to frustrate me. i Have not got the funds to carry out any repairs on the bike and im also not sure how much it would cost to DIY or for a offical garage to do it. is there any simple soulations that i can carry out to double check the above problems and repair them? i cannot take it to my normal garage which im starting to think is just draining my money as im currently at filey. Back is honda cbr125 if push comes to shove would my battery be okay if i just keep taking it out now and again and charging it or would that kill the battery completely? open to ideas even if i have to keep charging it before it dies
  16. the point was on hazard :/ i passed all at home though -.-
  17. Urgh was mad at myself, i've constantly got 60/75 while practising that! But when it came to the test i messed up
  18. im a complete failure. failed on haz pre for 1 point, asked around and its because i can click too early as ive got 5k miles under me i can "suspect" it a further distance. Brax is failure :C
  19. Best bet would be take it back if your not paying, if they don't know what it does though why did they put it on.... Old problem when my speedo diden't work was the connector on the dash been lose, had to take the front end apart to check.
  20. viewforum.php?f=5 Best to post it there. What is your battery like?
  21. Abraxix92

    kymco 125 is dead

if the stuttering wasn't there i would look at the battery if its electric start, but better check other solutions as there was spluttering.
  22. Hope all is well! goodluck! p.s how is it better if there in a car?
  23. Yet again, you're one of the few statistics that can, just before people can wear sunglasses doesn't mean they will. what would happen if they decided to snap for some random reason? Either way i still stand my ground on this as i personally think insurance would go up. Although you are correct about only one thing, some companys might not insurance you if you don't wear a lid, that's honestly a good point and if that was true i woulden't care, more risk on the road is still dangerous, as soon as this happen's i would thank you personally, with less biker population and the market been flooded with bikes i might be able to grab a good bargin!
  24. Please explain why me eating the kerb and dying will make your insurance go up? Increased number of fatalities means increased number of claims, increased cost of payouts which in turn puts up insurance premiums for those of us still alive. Would like to back the reason why there would be more accidents as well, i can manage 40mph on a bike with my visor up before my eyes water like hell, and anything hitting me in the eyes with the visor up above 10-40mph frigging kills that i shut one eye for a couple seconds. Now factor into account people with 1000's riding in shorts/t-shirts/flip flops and nothing but a little hairgel going 70mph on the motorway, something hits you in the eyes at that speed if you manage to keep them open that is..... it's going to friggin hurt enough to possibly keep that eye shut for a couple of min's now bear in mind you just have some lame hairgel and your one remaining eye is watering like hell going 70mph, how good is your hazard perception going to be? let alone your blurry vision. Why are younger drives paying more insurance? because they crash more from inexperience, now if none wore a helmet older folk would be paying our insurance and the younger lot would go even higher. Doesn't matter if your extremely experienced and safe, you and i are just another statistic nothing more. You might not claim but your still nothing more than another statistic.
  25. Please explain why me eating the kerb and dying will make your insurance go up? If i'm correct insurance which has medical issues attached it would effect that would it not? Edit: and i said if you don't wear a helmet Edit x2: seem's im wrong, which is pretty much a shame, was thinking how the states do it, but seem's its same, surprisingly to me, sorry about that!
