  1. That's definitely on the cards along with boring out.
  2. That's a good price! I already make sciency bits and bob's and flog them. I was milling on the lathe which takes aaaaages so the mill is a time saver. Plus I can do much bigger work.
  3. Close, It's a milling machine. Got to schlep down to Portsmouth to stick it on a pallet for the haulage guys. 6 hour round trip... yaaaaay. Your door looks good - got some security concerns?
  4. She already knows - it's more the size of it that's the problem, I've been getting rid of stuff for a while now and I'm still going to have to re-jig all my stuff. I might even have to get rid of a bike.
  5. I feel your pain, I've just parted with a healthy wedge for some new garage trinkets. The wife is not amused!
  6. You can get a rough balance with them off the bike. All you do is use a shank end of a small drill bit to ensure the butterflies are open the same amount.
  7. Oh come on, you can't keep it from us!

    Coffee

The most disgusting beverage known to man. Probably still available is church halls, knitting groups etc...
  9. We used to make Tadite out of weed killer and pack it in to pringles tins. In hindsight it probably wasn't that wise. Fun though.

    Long Way Up

That sounds... Really boring! Just has a quick squiz at the HD website. They state that (not using the special megatron charger) that it gives 15 km range for every hour it's charged with a range of 158 km. That means they will be on charge 14 hours a day and with range as it is, that'll be split in two so it'll be a quick blast in the morning, charge up, back on the bike in the evening then bed. Now we all know that manufacturer consumption figures are optimistic at best so unless they're lugging a huge generator or a load of spare batteries around, I call bullshit.

    Coffee

I'm not a huge coffee drinker however the Nespresso stuff is quite tasty - stick a few black ones in your mug and you certainly know about it!
  12. She doesn't allow me to have any of those.
  13. In "my side" of the garage (effectively a single) I have 3 bikes side by side with space to squeeze down the side. The rest is taken up with a pillar drill, 2 x 150x75cm benches, a 75x100cm fabrication bench, a welder & gas bottles, a toolbox stack, a couple of draw units, a grinding bench thing, a reasonable size lathe, and there's still loads of space left for assorted shite! You've just got to get organised.
  14. I only took the pics to give XT a twitcher.
  15. Dude, my wife just shit the bed after I told her I'm buying a milling machine with *my company money*. I'm supposed to be slimming down the fleet, not adding to it!
  16. Popped in to Fastec Engineering to pick up a few bits I'd commissioned and spotted this in their bike bit: It's fairly modded with a few bits left to do but I really like it.
  17. I was surprised how much a turbo cuts exhaust sound. I reckon that running a turbo without an exhaust was only a smidge louder than my track exhaust system.
  18. #socialmediawhore. Forums are social media too FYI! #Dunce.

  20. How about £150 - that's a third off!
  21. You should keep a tally of potential savings and give it to him every year at Christmas.
  22. I want GPS confirmation of that!
