I finally stuck my brew on yesterday (Muntons Smugglers Special). I was a bit concerned that the yeast was duff as it hardly did anything when I made up the starter. Anyway, I put the bucket in an old (unplugged) fridge to keep it out of the way and when I came down this morning I found this: I think it's safe to say that it's doing alright.

I've still got my Boy's Brigade badges from when I was a nipper. As anyone who's ever been in "The Brigade" will tell you, they're a mean, bad-ass, mercenary bunch of sonofabitches who will kill, on sight, anyone who dares wear a badge which they have not earned. I still remember little Timmy, he was butchered for daring to wear an activity badge he had not fully earned. It was found that he only helped two old grannies across the road rather than the requisite three. Poor Timmy - so much blood.

Why do you say that? Most charging systems on modern engines never fully charge the battery to maximum capacity. The old dynamo systems used to which is why people assume that running an engine fully charges a battery. They replace a certain level of charge but if you measure the electrolyte it shows below full capacity even after a long run. If a battery is flattened it's better to bring it back to full capacity using a trickle charger, then the charging system will maintain it at that state of charge. Didn't we have this debate a while back?

I saw one the other day - at a guess I'd say it was about 70% rust. I was doing 70 and it was slowly gaining on me until there was a slight incline and it dropped back.

You can screw a bung in to the lambda sensor hole - one of these or similar.

They will be fine. I put a set of PR4 on my track bike as intermediates and they were fine. There's a write up on here somewhere about it.

When you say it rocks do you mean you can turn it right over or that you can turn it a bit? If it's the latter then you should remove the spark plugs then crank it over a few times just in case so fuel, oil or water have made it's way in to a cylinder.

They look really good. I especially like the detail they've gone to - for example, the dangly ball things on the pocket zips - exactly the same as they used to have. I had one as my first jacket. I picked it up from a second hand shop for £30 and it lasted years. Memories, memories, etc.

Have you got a link to what you used?

Plus some small, shit bikes (like mine) have generators.
