Oh yeah... Oops.

chain problem

Looking at the contents of the garage, hearing the accent and seeing the plate on the other bike, I think it's unlikely that he'll be popping to Hastings.
3. Got a picture?
4. Wife had her car fixed and sprayed by a place in Haverhill after a lorry tried to hump it. They did an alright job - not amazing. Think they charged around 3-400 a panel. I'll dig out the name if you need it.
5. What is?
6. Still don't know which one's which.
7. Good plan. Check the weight capacity of the drawers - that's what swung it for me - even loaded up with air tool and shiz they're nice and sturdy and slide easily.
8. You want the black industrial ones - much heavier duty and not that much more.
9. Do you mean like the deep, broody, meaningful kids at school who longed to be seen as truly unique individuals so became goths and all dressed the same/listened to the same (dreadful) music/did the same things?
10. Or you could just post directly here - you'd get way more interest.
11. The OP stated he was pushed a little over a foot in his first post. That's quite a bit of energy for a bike to absorb - I certainly would be giving it a thorough going over to check for issues with the swing arm and frame. It could have done all kinds of mischief but then again it could have done nothing. Why should the OP take it on the chin when it wasn't their fault?
12. I know right! We'll probably never even see him again on the forum! (also done! ) I've invested too much of my life reading the shite on this forum so I'm not going to give up now!. Thanks again everyone for your votes. Oh, and rennie - do it!
13. I tell you what mate, your bolt keeping method is spot on. When I did my ZXR I just chucked everything in a magnetic tray and trusted my memory.
14. Thanks everyone, I really appreciate you all helping me out! That's why I put *Assuming you want to fit a turbocharger to your bike*. You may of course not actually want to, but if you did, then what would you choose?
15. Hello everyone! I wondered if you could do me a little favour please... *Assuming you want to fit a turbocharger to your bike.* As part of my uni project I'd like to get some data on people's opinion on turbocharging their bikes so if you wouldn't mind awfully clicking two options above to indicate how much you'd be willing to spend on a turbo kit and what level of modification you'd entertain, I'd be most appreciative. A turbo kit would be along the lines of replacing the exhaust system and airbox with a turbo system and a few other minor bits without further engine mods to get up to 25% increase in power. Minor engine mods would also include a new ECU, stripping the engine and lowering the compression ratio by using thicker cylinder gaskets to get up to 60% power increase. Major engine mods includes installing forged pistons and rods as well as the above to get significantly more than 60% power increase (sky's the limit). Cheers, Fro
16. Cheers dudes, I'll look him up!
17. What is your current gear? I use Renapur on my leather bits and Fabsil on the textile bits (jeans are a mix) and I stay nice and dry, even after a good hour in hacking rain.
18. Someone else said that to me today too - apparently there's a place in Bury so I'll toddle along there at some point.
19. It's got to be done Ian, just imagine your first batch - 40 odd pints of Rennie's Scrumpy.
20. Good info dudes. A few links would be magic Mr W. No worries on the bottles - I'm saving up the empties from the extensive market research I've been doing.
21. I looked in to that for mine Bob - those Chinese clones don't fit right - apparently the sleeve is a few mm bigger than a pukka Japanese model and would need nipping down on a lathe to fit the crankcase.
22. For my latest fad, I've had the idea if making some homebrew. I had a go about 20 years ago - one of those tinned jobs - and it was bloody awful. I mean really bad. Stomach cramp bad. Anyroad, I read a book on it the other day and got it in my head so thought I'd give it a whirl. Only this time I want to work up to doing my own mashes. Now before I go out and give a wedge of cash to some Cambridge artisan bloke with a beard and a neckerchief, has anyone got any top tips or handy advice of what to get and what not to bother with? Cheers, Fro
23. *Post of the day*
24. I commend you on your daring and you should totally stick a thread up about the conversion! If you're going to do it then you might as well go all in and stick the 180 on it. So long as the compression ratio doesn't go much above standard then you shouldn't have too much trouble. Yes you will probably lose a bit of longevity from the bottom end but you could get round that to some degree by having the crank/piston assembly balanced. My concern would be the sidecar - my 125 frame is a wobbly little thing at the best of times and having *insert weight of sidecar here* hanging off the side won't help it much. Mind you, if it does end up flexing like a good 'un you could always beef the frame up.
25. You're not the same person who asked very nearly exactly the same thing a few months ago and stripped off are you?
