Was perfectly happy. They both achieved very well. Deffo no fiddling. Religion was never forced down their necks. Yes we chose their religon and had them christened. Would have been a bit daft to choose anything but Catholicism though as both sides of the family are historically left footed... They both go as and when they please to mass. Don't make them go. I don't practise. Go once a blue moon. The reason i get a little defensive at times is that one of my best mates is a priest and i trust him 100 % Peace

It did protect. I don't deny that. They all did. I like to think its in the past. But. Not all priests were peodos. Thats my point. Good and bad in all walks of life

Theres good and bad in all religions. It certainly wasn't just the catholics who were fiddling. But I'm certainly not denying Rome has a hell of a lot of history to answer for. In this country though as well as systemic racism in some areas of life and media, there is also systemic sectarianism. Hence why its always the catholics who were fiddling. My kids went to a Catholic school. My nephews and neices still do. Round by us. 1 school has had an incident of child abuse. You won't of all seen it in the national press. Because it was a Church of England primary......

There is no such thing as a religious unbiased mind. The biggest threat to Catholicism at present and to many religions in general is covid. People get out of the habit of attending Sat night mass/ Sunday morning. When communal worship was permitted. Booking was essential etc. But the average age well over 70. Case in point mother in law booked on every week. This obviously stopped the families turning up casually on the sunday or the kids needing to attend for their first holy communion etc. Or for that matter protestants going through the motions to get their kids in a Catholic school.
  10. Just kitting up for work. Its snowing....

We got the mother in law one in the sales. Comedy gold. She's 80 and from Batley!!!! It can't understand her and she then proceeds to have lengthy one way arguments with it.... And i quote "stupid that woman"
  13. Weekend on nights. Nowt else to do anyway. It will get me out of the way. I do the families head in when off shift.....
  14. Oh. They will always be protected. If Grace goes to Dundee, although no way local i know several people in both Glasgow and Dumfries who can get there before i can and fire fight until we arrive. Hull is 70 mile away so is easy for us. Plus he can always pester people on here if he's in the absolute shite. If you ever get chance. Go to see Paul Heaton live. Very good gigs. Even more so now bizarrely after he's stopped drinking.
  15. Both turn over. Joint accounts for everything. Give each other spend each month (beer tokens) worked for 21 year now. And yes. I still think take aways and eating out is extravagant and probably always will. Can't shake it off.
  16. No change then...
  17. Don't start quoting the 4th best band in hull.... Favourite of all time. Had 2 Heaton gigs postponed due to covid. The van will not be a caravan of love. Infact once they leave for uni i may change the locks at home and the coast.. Ofcourse im only joking. Just incase lewis has managed to sneek onto this forum and bypassed Stu.... You seen The housemartins/ BS/Heaton? Some of the best times
  18. I have twins..... Grace is thinking Dundee!!! Supposed to be probably the best for what she wants to do, bio science. Lewis is looking at politics at Ull... Hull obviously a lot closer to us, but no way commutable. I've told he can stay in caravan which is only half hour away. This will not be happening.
  19. Yes. Be grateful. Where is he applying to? My 2 are still looking around for 2022 start, but seem to have narrowed it down. Unfortunately for @Stulewis is looking at Hull.......
  20. Hello n welcome. The kwaka is mint.
