Unfortunately @onesea the bike is one of those bad deals.

The fairings are tied with cable ties of electrician isolating tape.

Not even worth considering repairing and spraying when you can get a set + tank for £400 including fixing bolts.

The park plug seems okay but mix is probably wrong and the carb needs out and clean.

My spark plug looked ok if that's any help.  I bought it first then changed it as I already had it.

  2. Ok I have a 2007 CBR 125 as my fault commuter.

Start with spark plug, mine went from running fine to rough starting & cutting out in 30 miles.  After 2 weeks standing.

Changing the spark plug fixed it.

If the bike has full fairings they could be worth more than the bike.

Try spark plug first see if it works, then look to service the rest.

Atleast parts are cheap, and they are simple so good for honing mechanical skills.  it's carb so even as dead bike has value.

If you get it going they are quite fun to ride.

    ... And another thing...

I managed to chuck my phone on the cobbles instead of putting it in the tank bag this morning.  Browsing Amazon for a replacement...

Samsung Galaxy A54 5G - seems like a reasonable phone.  £270 for ze German version, or one with "Triple-Kamera", or £487 for the one directly from Amazon.  They're both new.  Even for grey market imports that's a big difference.  What gives?

Nokia XR20 or 21 mine survived being run over. And countless drops on to hard ground,

Some sort of silicone glue, rather than superglue, makes sense, as silicone glue is more forgiving and less likely to get all over the place. I have gone with "K2 High Temperature Silicone 350°C Red Tube 85g", based on Amazon reviews, but it was cheaper to buy off ebay.

Silicone by it's nature is great resistant.  I have seen an exhaust on a bike sealed on with bathroom silicone 12 months later was still good.

"Most silicones have an operating temperature from -60°C up to +230°C."

I am guessing any will do.

  5. I didn’t ride it, I needed my car that’s full of tools.  However my daughter rode over to us later in the day.

She loves riding the New Forest on a bank holiday.  On her 50cc at 34mph she is no longer the slowest vehicle (including petrol powered).
For most part she could enjoy the ride, without watching her mirrors for the next…

On the way home she was only a minute behind us after 15 miles.

Never mind fish, Just been to Dominos and they want twenty four shekels for a Pizza 😱

I am guessing you didn’t have there junk mail handy that makes it half price if you spend twice as much. Or book through the app there is normally deals to be had.

  7. Pretty much what I am doing, just choosing anti social activities minimal visits to the shops etc, avoiding the old and unwell.

One of the feelings of guilt* is I am off sick but going to spend the next few days working on boat once morning thunderstorms subside.

The noise and mess generally keeps people away I will also be wearing a mask due to dust.

I am on round 4 of COVID now that’s ignoring snivels, which did not test positive. Some of which where worse than my present COVID (hopefully not speaking to soon).

    * Not to much as work said don’t come in for 5 days, I said I was happy to.  They said no policy is 5 days, although it still goes against my sickness record.

  8. So it’s all gone and forgotten until…

You know you’ve got it, your off work because of it even though you know that where you got it.

You know there are no restrictions but what precautions do you follow?

Not worth the risk, they will use any excuse to get out of warranty, as long as you have petrol, it's turned on.

Got to agree here, I know it seems we are being unhelpful. The fault could be allot of things.

I am trusting it had ran ok for first 600 miles you have not made any recent mods and it has not been dropped etc. or been used in rain for first time?

Regardless the dealer is the best point of contact and be firm with them to make it repaired quickly.  There are horror stories out there.

Only check I would do is check the manual and do a start as per manual, incase it’s not a simple error.  Who hasn’t tried to start the bike with kill switch on?  Or the immobiliser switched on?

  10. Apparently a local fish and chip van has opened up in a local pub beer garden.

Fish and Chips £16.95 with “proper” mushy peas or curry sauce.

It was the cost of the Extras:

One observation to find decent fish and chips on a budget, look for a Chippy on the edge of a large council estate.

The one in a row of shops where you double check your cars locked and the kids outside are smoking, drinking some kind of alcohol whilst talking about there next high.

  11. I am going to take today:

You know when your filtering to fast when Google is shouting in your headset slow down! Jam ahead!!!

You can see the Jam is not ahead and the gap is just wide enough and your still going.

    Commute today consisted of:

4 stops to photograph ponies, multiple head on's with pikey's racing traps in the road (actually confused them by keeping going at them,

    4 caravans 2 motorhomes,

    2 coaches

    A New Forest tour bus,

15 miles 50 minutes, going home unless they choose a road roll a caravan or lorry it should be 20 minutes.

@S-Westerly if it makes you feel any better,  I saw a couple that had bought a boat and made compulsory YouTube channel. They had got 1/2 way round the country having bought there boat to circumnavigate the UK.

They where getting random red oil drips in the engine compartment.

Finally whilst “watching a Random YouTube video”. They had a shock revelation and learned they had a gear box 😵‍💫.

Not only that they suggested all yachtsmen check their boat for there’s, advising they needed ATF fluid which is red 😱 and the dipstick needs and 18mm spanner.

However they checked the dip stick and found it on level.  Stating it had just been over full, so will be fine.

Just asked the question to them about other charges?

They said not enough evidence photos not clear enough, what more so they need witness that’s known her since school prepared to identify her 3-4 others who will state she was seen driving off. With photos to back up any statements.

With no licence, without permission (if not there’s a case for insurance fraud against mother for allowing her to take car).

There is Atleast driving away from scene of accident..

A little further update, neighbours happy to give evidence but do not want there names given out in court. For fear of repercusans from her drug dealer mates, so no statements given.

Do you not think the police should of told us the other witness have withdrawn for fear of retaliation?

Sorry husoi, it was meant to be Onsea, but I couldn't edit the post.

Two of his books are titled how to kill

The one to the left was my daughters book, the one to the right was my other halfs.

They choose the book in the middle for me.

Hence @Bender Sun tzu, "the art of war" is starting to look attractive.

PS One day left and still alive.
