  8. the stick on mounts are very very sticky and it looks like decent 3m adhesive. was thinking of putting it on the fuel tank fairings on the left hand side, but i am considering getting the handlebar mounting.. can buy a kit with all the different mountings for £17.99 including chest harness etc... walked around with it this morning to test its ability in darkness.

  10. hes 80 next year and enjoys life.... this last year has been a bit stressful for him with my younger brother having to move in to his house due to lack of work and money. And in my opinion being one lazy f**ker. so hopefully this might give him the kick in the ass to realise hes there to help my dad not the other way around. if i didnt live 800 miles away (kent), they live in South france... I would have travelled down and slapped him stupid. anyways.. excuse for a trip on the bike next year me thinks, anyone fancy joining me? bring your own impliment to batter him with
  11. did my cbt january 2014, bought a 125 in september 2014, took theory in dec 2014, started training in august 2015, passed A licence test october 2015, sold 125cc bought 500cc. did my test parts as i felt ready and had the cash to do them... you have 2 years from the date you get that CBT certificate.... why rush, enjoy it why 500cc when i have a A licence.. because it felt better. was never 100% happy riding the CB650F, but got used to it as i needed too. My instructors where brilliant and even said that i should get the bike i want... so i did some test fittings and test rides and decided for the type of riding im gonna be doing the cb500f was the one for me...never looked back, 1000miles so far, and thats with 3 weeks of not riding in the timeframe.... dont rush... you'll regret it
  12. shame i could not make it but father was rushed into hospital (he lives in france) with suspected Heart attack..... According to doctors it was a very very mild one and he should be ok... 18. Please just take it easy out on the roads.. We all know that feeling of wanting to push the bike that bit more, get that bit more thrill but.. You never know when that tractors going to pull out, when that animal will run from the hedge row under your front wheel.. etc.. On a track the ambulance can be with you in minutes, if less. There are people there who's only job is to pick you up if you go skidding over the kitty litter.. Not so much on country roads.. This wasn't meant to sound condescending at all, I know it's difficult to get emotion over with typing but I really would hate to see another thread appear to say we've lost one of our numbers again.. i know, and i agree , I ride as safe as i can with the experience i have..... track day will give me more experience and help me ride safer etc.
  19. Little johnny's biology teacher asked the class what they did over the holidays. Mary said "i rode a pony.", The teacher replied "very Nice" Agatha said "I went to france", "oh tres bien" the teacher commented in reply. Little johnny said "Well miss, I stuffed bangers up frogs arses!!", the teacher paused and then said "Rectum, johnny, rectum!" Johnny replied "rectum miss, it fooking killed em"...........
  20. Ill be coming up by car so no need to lock bike up. im not a big drinker, im mad enough without a drink, but if the need arrises ill take one you up on that offer of a bed.single or dog is no matter
  21. I think something like this would be ideal, one for the experience and secondly to learn to trust my bike, find my limits and try and expand them without involving or risking others... then use that experience to ride safer and better on the roads. plus i am determined to erase my chicken strips, but in the current climate.... im too scared, was travelling a corner the other day i do everyday but was in a rush, was leanig more in the corners, telling myself trust the bike it more capable than you are, when for a split second i saw a dark patch on the road, front wheel hit it and the front wheel skipped a bit..... bike become more upright and pants filled alittle...... but i know i can do more and better, would rather do it on a track than the road, as roads are covered in crap and crap riders and drivers
