  1. yes! would be good to see you both!
  2. moved to pitstop. To check for spark you need to take plug(s) out, put lead back on, hold against cylinder head, turn engine over and see if there's a spark. I'd see how it goes with fresh fuel first. has it got a kick start? ( saves flattening battery)
  3. hello stranger! if you put a thread in pitstop, with as many details as possible, we should be able to help. my first thought is, if it's been stood a while, has the fuel gone off?
  4. yes! fri night and sat night. This time if you want breakfast you book your own! we've already booked ours They serve meals from around 12 ish anyway! We plan on getting there between 6 and 7 fri night, some people will be earlier than that!
  5. we had a room last year! £30 pp per night B and B! we're in campervan this year but have booked breakfast both days. The main menu is pretty good and reasonably priced as is the beer
  6. yeah! how am I going to get the 23 year old, hugely underpowered, campervan up that?

hello and welcome to TMBF I've moved your post to the correct section please say hello in newbies
  11. always worth having a manual! have you got a volt meter? start with the simple things. Is the lamp fitted the correct voltage/rating? how many volts is there at the lamp holder? does the voltage change if you move bike/handlebars?
  12. It's not the alternator then! or the engine! Has to be either the lamp, lampholder, wiring for headlight or earth for headlight.
  13. Scooke!, we need to start again! Is the headlight the only thing that's not working? If so change the lamp/check the connections. Is the battery going flat/bike failing to start? If so we need to check the charging system.
  14. It's an electrical fault! why replace the engine? please put your location in your profile If all the other electrics are still working and the bike starts then it's not the alternator!
  15. It's usually £5 per adult I think kids are free! We've had some good days out there! It's a nice little 1 mile track right on the coast Plenty of campsites near to it. The Halo factory in Tywyn sell honey ice cream! Mmmmmmm!
  16. so 3 litres at appx 10 miles per litre= 30 miles to bone dry! Don't think I'd be wanting to risk much more than 20 though! My old blade didn't have a fuel guage or a light, it did have reserve though. I got it wrong once, on my Spain trip!, switched to reserve in the fast lane of the M/way, with about 30 miles to go till next services I slowed down and prayed It ran out and the engine died about half way up the slip road to the services!! I only had to push it about 50 metres
  17. Good Luck! and Enjoy it!

  21. using the kickstart is a knack! you need to learn your bike! they all behave differently. you may need choke and no throttle you may need both choke and throttle you may need neither. A bike behaves differently when cold and warm so you have to kickstart it differently. If it started off the battery it really should have started off the kickstart!
  22. as for where to fasten the tent, if no pillion I would fasten it, at the back of the seat up against the top box rather than on top of it.
