  1. when i was in the army i spent a lot of time in bordon. There used to be a big bike meet in Alton, on a weds i think. I can't help you much more than that, sorry!
  2. I don't know about replacements from other bikes. I'd try david silver spares ( all things honda) or D and K ( import specialists) they may well have them! There is also the possibility that it could be plastic welded !
  3. we don't have many members from those areas! Is there a local bike meet you could go and ask at? local dealerships? you know anybody at work/tech/college who has a bike? friends of friends? etc etc. If not then I'd go and talk to a few local training places, you'll at least get an idea if they're friendly
  4. bad luck!, just keep trying! it's worth it in the end!

    Back tyre puncture

If I was you I'd take it to a tyre repair place and see if they'll fix it. Then I'd get a new tyre sooner rather than later! I've had repairs before but never really trust them

    Back tyre puncture

are the tyres on ybrs tubeless now? without looking at Sue's I'm not sure In my day mopeds and some 125's had tubes!

    NEC bike show

We're not going this year! I agree it's not as good as it used to be!
  8. nor me i'm afraid!, it can't be that hard!, can it? good luck!
  9. absolutely no idea! glove box? so it fits in the fairing? I would imagine it probably clips into place from the back so you would have to take at least part of fairing off.
  10. It's the weekend and I've still got man-flu! F**K IT !!!
  11. well done!, welcome to a whole new world
  12. oh dear! I'm veering towards dodgy electrics again!
  13. let us know what they say!
  14. yes! if choke makes a difference ignore everything i said earlier I agree with hoody, check air filter, has it got a fuel filter? if so check that, check inlet rubbers, breather tubes etc. is mixture screw/ idle screw in right place?
  15. It's single cylinder I think? might be worth trying a new ht lead, check the spark with the plug out. just a process of elimination really! could be almost anything!
  16. could be ht lead breaking down! plug cap, plug, has it got points? still sounds electrical to me but very difficult to tell
  17. I would say it was more likely to be damp in the electrics! wd40 or electrolube are marvelous things!
  18. well done! and good luck
  19. both sue's and my son's ybrs do this until they are warm! They take ages to warm up! much longer than any of the bigger bikes I've had.
  20. well done dale!
  21. no you are incorrect! The oil in your sump is for your engine and gear box only. The forks have their own hydraulic oil. The oil seals will be relatively inexpensive ( in the uk anyway) it takes quite a while to change them though!
  22. how did you check the oil level in the forks? by the way please say hello in the newbies section if your fork seals have gone then, eventually you will lose all the oil out of the forks, which will cause damage and bad handling. I would say the fuel usage is high for city use but not too bad
  23. well done! welcome to a whole new world
  24. me too! scorpion looks best! but it depends on fit
  25. glad you're ok! is the track back to the same as before? I did just over a lap on a friends of donnington park evening (freebie with a mate) then someone crashed at redgate, the ambulance had to go, and that was that! I thought craner curves were awesome! but goddards was impossible! I'm actually glad it got stopped cos I'd have killed myself! never been on a track since!
