  1. When I fitted mine (Givi), I connected to the cable under the seat - IMO this made for a 'tidier' job.
  2. Your brake light is on a different circuit and uses either a seperate bulb or (more usually) a seperate filiment within the bulb. First shot is to try a new bulb.

    Help!!

Stu - I just assumed that if it 'wont turn' then it should be able to turn! My mistake!

    Help!!

A fairly easy but time consuming job. Agree with Stu's approach. One point, once you have re-assembled the bottom half of your carbs (float chamber)., re-check that fuel is not flowing into the engine (i.e. still got a mis-set or 'stuck' float). As to the fuel tap - WD40 is your answer. Spray around the spigot; leave a few minutes, try and turn the tap. Repeat until you get full movement. Prevent from 'siezing' again by always switching off when you leave the bike (this also stops the fuel from draining through the carbs whilst stationary). Enjoy the task!
  5. Sounds like you need to visit a few Auto-Jumbles. Usually find the right bits at these. Top Tip - Take pictures, print and add dimensions before you go buying - Take a tape measure and you'll be 95% accurate in what you are buying.
  6. Go for MINSTRELS!
  7. Lamps are what miners use down t'pit - Light Bulb is what I was reffering to (and before you say it - a snowdrop bulb is lighter than a tulip bulb - on average ). Anyway - The problem was fixed.
  8. Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and Groovin' with a Pict - Pink Floyd
  9. Check the bulb.
  10. Low Rider - War
  11. Sad but True - Metallica
  12. No real problems with my back at the time. A couple of 'twinges' since but not too bad at all I was behind a 'large' harley most of the time and the noise from the exhausts (well 'drain pipes') was immense! The organisers say they are going to do it again next year - I'm defo up for that!
  13. Post code of the camp site (or name/location) so I can research B&Bs?
  14. Sounds promising.
  15. 2014 'list' is almost complete - Just a little tidying up to do and then run it past Stu to get and it will be published. Similar to last year but I've brought back the 'Pubs' as an 'easy' get I've tried to bring in some interesting 'targets' as well as 'grouping' the challenges arund the 'better biking' roads. NB. TC has NO EXCUSE not to get the lot for 2014

My bet would be electrical. The 'no spark' when checked is a big clue. Check the connections on the coil as a first step (it may also be that the coil itself is breaking down). Also check all earth studs/connections are sound. 2nd, check the feed from the ignition to the coil. If this is all OK, then it starts to get more difficult to find the issue. Good luck!
  17. Buy 1 and keep it with your toolkit (under your seat).
  18. Something under the seat getting crushed / moved when you sit on it? Otherwise, not a clue!
  19. Sod your training and come home Bob - You've only 1 dad and there are many training courses. Hope he recovers OK.
  20. 'Lost' you at Thurrock Mandy! Piccy's:- A great day!
  21. Alice's Resturant - Arno Guthrie. Great Lyrics!
  22. The drivers I am particularly fond of are the ones who see me screamin' up the outside lane ... and then swerve out in front of me at the last minute and floor the gas, just to save themselves from having to dab the brake, then overtake the slow-moving vehicle in front of them. Or the Christian motorists who fervently adhere to just a bit under the speed limit. I hope you are enticing cage drivers to speed? I do not have an issue with someone who sits at (or just below) the NSL for that vehicle on a road PROVIDED they keep a decent gap between them and the vehicle in front AND keep over to the left when a bike approaches from behind them (in otherwords - considerate drivers).
