  1. Depends what the temp repair kit was? If liquid then the tyre needs to be replaced unless you wish the time and expense to get it all cleaned out to allow a 'proper' repair - Not easy I would not risk continuing to ride your 'blade with a 'temp' repair tyre - If it 'blows' at speed, you may get a nasty shock! You wouldn't consider a 'repaired' helmet - don't chance a 'repaired' tyre unless professionally done - Not worth the risk.
  2. No real issue but, if you can source a replacement washer (internal rubber thingy), then worth replacing it. Otherwise, a new fuel tap should not cost a lot and is easy to fit.
  3. Knackered back - I'm still in a lot of pain and on the 'happy pills' - Been unable to ride the bike for a couple of weeks now Best summer we've had in years and I can't enjoy it!!! Mind you - i did Wales in October last year so there is always a chance Not that I'll catch your score - Well done!
  4. Like the daffodil photo Lou - Your one hell of a diverse person with loads of talent. Don't let others get you down, even if they are family! Look to your friends - They won't be so shitty! (at least I won't).
  5. Bigger elastic band?
  6. No Bumbag?! But WHERE will you stash your stamp collection?! That's what Bob said, GOG - I had a go at lunchtime but our work toolkit was missing the rotate-y nut screw thing remooover (Ollie tells me a 'socket set') and couldn't loosen the nut with the other turn-y device (spanner!) to check the positive connection. Will take a set with me tomoz and have another well-spent lunchbreak . ROFL
  7. Nice to have met you again - Agree with Lou that the Social Club is 'cosy' with great prices! Have to make it a regular (and try out their 'Bacon Butties'). Sounds like you have a loose connection Lou - Try 'wriggling' wires and see what causes the problem. Should be an easy fix (the hard bit will be finding it).
  8. 6.30 is morning - 18.30 would be night!!!
  9. When I'm back on the bike give me a shout Bob.
  10. If on your own, then use a bit of 'sticky' to hold the tape end in place while you measure it. Simples!
  11. If you really want to get it off - then you will need to use a disk cutter/grinder and, once finished, primer, udercoat and topcoat with smooth hammerite!
  12. Aftermarket Rectifier? Correct type / voltage / heatsink? Have you got the wiring diagram? There should be two outputs with one return from the stator 'Y' . The three coils should all be the same (near enough) value in ohms (when disconnected). Are you sure the rectifier was OK?
  13. Won't be attending - Back pain (and the associated drugs) are preventing me from riding the bike (or even driving the car more than a few miles). Best summer in years and I'm missing it!!! Hope you all have a great time
  14. Auto-choke sticking on? Probably not. Fuel evaporation - More than likely.
  15. It just does it - OK? Simples!!!
  16. You could be right Fozzie!
  17. The guy who has parked his car in the hedge at the side of the A1 (how the h@ll did you manage to get it up there - at least 6 feet off the ground?).
  18. Likewise if you did not replace the throttle pin in the slide correctly...... You'll need to strip and check the carb mate.
  19. A greasy light think - obviously Looks a lot like grease. Clean it up and see if it comes back. Accumulation like that over a period of months is no problem. If the same afer a few minutes, then you have an issue.
  20. Or a broken wire in the loom. if you have a multimeter - Time to go checking. If not, use a battery and bulb (even a torch battery and bulb will do) and check each cable end-to-end for continuity, moving the cables gently as you check. Good luck.
  21. Need a cuddle!
  22. Packing the folding chairs into the car roof box - Dropped one - broken wing mirror (£65); Scratched door panel (£124). F**k It!!!!!!!
  23. And I though you would be a main contender this year Bob! Likewise I am looking at Wales (or the NW) around bank Holiday time - the only downside is the increased traffic at that time. I'm still determined to try and score 1000 though! Good luck everyone.
  24. He's just completed Scotland I don't think I'll catch him now! Well done Priest.
