  1. Little run out today. Southam, Daventry, Flore and A45 to Northampton where we went to the above at the Billing AquaDrone. An all day breakfast was consumed. Returned via Daventry A361 to Banbury then a swift half at The Castle Edgehill. Then home.
  2. There is a knack to lifting a bike. This is the method I have used in the past. See also https://www.brake-magazine.com/how-to-lift-a-motorcycle/
  3. Most SatNav’s will save the max speed recorded. Just post that. Yeah i did see that in the sat nav data, but as i use it in the car as well i can't be sure where the max speed was obtained, i would have to reset the data and do a run on the bike, which would simplyfy things for me But, my SatNav will let you review the trip log and give max speeds for each leg.
  4. I want GPS confirmation of that! Will rig up some way to record the sat nav screen as i want to see for myself as i was only going by the speedo which aren't the most accurate anyway, give me something to do over the weekend Most SatNav’s will save the max speed recorded. Just post that.

  8. Sometimes I leave mine in 5th and treat it like an automatic. Dawdle through 30’s and then up to 70 ish. Other times it’s fun to rag it in 3rd and 4th and surprise folk. We have spoken about this in the past and these big bikes can make you lazy Certainly do.

  16. Good run out today. 225 mile round trip for an all day breakfast at the Phoenix. Also managed a challenge tag. SatNav didn’t disappoint, we had single track roads with grass down the middle. Roads with mounds of grit mainly across the bends and to cap it all we had to follow a combine harvester that completely filled the lane and was scraping along the hedges on both sides. ‘‘Twas fun when he met a couple of cars. . Unfortunately no video as a huge bug committed suicide on the lens so not much to see.
  17. Ohh. Not good. Glad you are not too bad ,but yes get down to A&E and get fully checked out.
  18. Your missus/Mr is a better mechanic than you? Apparently she doesn't need to be, she just walked right up to it and it started on the button. Something that had alluded me. She has the power / touch.
