4. BANDITS ARE AWESOME (At least the K6 is, because that’s what I’ve got) Nah, 1250 is the way to go.
5. Yes thanks. Had a couple of glasses of port and a few of red wine now just about to start on the Christmas pud.
6. Have a merry Christmas everyone
7. +1 for Scott oiler. Yes the vaccum ones take a bit to get set up correctly but when they are it saves a lot of chain maintenance and chains do last longer. Although you do need to give the chain a good clean occasionally.
8. That will teach him to drink and drive.
9. This needs to be done. A meetup at the museum and Bacon sandwiches in the cafe. Followed by coffee and biscuits before the run home.
10. So sorry for you elizabethf but glad you are not hurt physically. As others have said get out again on a good dry day and the thrill will be back. Do you test next year when the weather improves. And you are a true biker now. With a slippy road and the pressure of the test its no wonder. When i did my test the emergency stop was done on the road with the classic I'll step out. Any way on test day it was pouring with rain and the examiner said "for the emergency stop don't brake to hard don't fall of and it will be a good one". I stayed on.
11. In the UK the Lake District

Retirement?

Hi @spanner long time no hear.
14. You ride at your own pace and according too the road conditions and visibility. Let those behind take care of them selves if you are worried that drivers are to close either let them past if safe to do or dominate the road and a couple of flashes of the brake lights to show you are slowing.
15. Not till 2021
16. Welcome to the forum. I think that in the States you have to have a car driving license first and the motor bike is an addition. But our States side rep RantMachine will probably know more.
17. Check out RST. The pro jackets have back protectors fitted.
18. fastbob IIRC from 2019 the ULEZ is the same as the congestion zone and will cover all vehicle petrol and diesel AND motor bikes. Then from 2021 the zone is increased out to cover the area between the Nort and South circular roads. ANPR cameras are used to police the areas. Basically bikes older than 08, petrol cars 12 and diesel cars 15. I think. The TfL website lists the euro engine rating and if you put your reg number in computer says NO ( or maybe yes). Our 2 cars fail but the bike is OK.
19. Congrats Joebaxi
20. That's not good, hope it can be repaired at not too much cost.
21. And why am I not surprised.
22. Glad you managed to get some Speedy23.
23. Ended up getting the Skintan ones.....they are really nice quality, only thing is the zips on the pockets are a bit "new", but as ever with leather clothing, they will need breaking in. The lady at Skintan seemed to think they were going to stop making them soon, so if you're interested in any, sooner rather than later, as they say.....but, for the price (£189) well pleased with them. No pic displaying for me, just says Salopettes.PNG and now I need to see them because the word ‘skintan’ has ‘American tan’ coloured tights in my mind, funny and disturbing You've not met Speedy23 then.
