  1. Hey Wrench, I'm in Wood Green so not too far at all! I'm thinking of trying to get to Birkhampstead Castle (nearest challenge point!) on a nice weekend day, only about an hour or so away. Don't mind taking a scenic non motorway route if you wanna come? Think there may be a couple of bonus pubs nearby. May not be until end Jan / Feb though my weekends are already getting eaten into!
  2. Weirdly I was looking into this the other day. If money was no issue the Bike Trac system does look amazing. I didn't really find a money is an issue system that I thought looked good and I'm still confused about the differences between gps and gprs and which one is "better" and do you need a sim card for all trackers? Did I help?
  3. ooh cool, What colour is it now? Are you going to put it back to an original scheme? I miss square headlights.
  4. This is a good point. I think they used to race along the old north circular whereas now the new north Circular is a bit further away they race up and down the road directly in front which is quite narrow. I think someone getting injured always makes the authorities take more notice. And maybe higher speeds and more people means more idiots so problem is more noticeable? I think it was also closed down the first (and probably second the third!) times for similar reasons.
  5. Cool thanks davey I'll see if I can hunt him down! Sadly ace cafe is in the opposite direction to where I'd need to head to the wessons meet. I'm not sure I can make it either. Don't want to commit to runs unless I'm 100% I can!
  6. Injuries sustained Pelvic fractures Hip ball join fracture Tail bone fracture in 3 places Pubic bone fracture Leg fractures Pulled neck tendent Twisted ankle Hopefully knocked out the stupid too. Hate to even imagine if there had been people crossing that green
  7. I note the guy who crashed wasn't part of the gathering. I think its true that it's non visitors who are the dicks last tune I was there some chavs on scooters were pulling wheelies outside. Everyone inside said what idiots they were.
  8. Haha! You'll wish you were alone again
  9. Y'know.... I had a sneaking suspicion it was going to say that!
  10. I am less likely to get distracted by stuff that way Cool I shall check out some vids later
  11. They are! I need to hunt down some North based people to have a mini ride out together to the meeting point Ideally someone with a better sense of direction than me
  12. I clicked on the redbull link and the first vid is that crazy extreme beach racing! I love that! It's just a guaranteed crash-fest. I know it's offtopic but you looked lonely
  13. I think part of the bad rep comes from rude boys ragging them around and not understanding the engine needs a bit more love and care than, say, a Golf GTI one so they tended to knacker them out. Like any second hand car find out what the common problems are, don't get sucked in to spending more than you can afford and go for it Or.... buy another bike

    Bloody computers.

OOoooh this fire screensaver is really realistic!
  15. hahah I find the opposite that all the rides start off way down south and it would take me an hour+ just to get to the meet point! Haven't had a spare weekend in a while but hopefully will get on one soon!
  16. Hmm I'm sure there are good ones about but I find zips are always a bit iffy. Have you looked at liners? Im thinking of getting one as will be travelling more hopefully! Something like this http://m.evanscycles.com/products/ospre ... l-ec107343 they come in different sizes but as I already have a few different sized bags I'm thinking buy a bigger one and scrunch it down for the smaller ones
  17. Internet suggests making sure you're on the odometre read out then press adj and select together for a few seconds? Pesky technology - analogue dials don't have this problem
  18. It's a badger one (forget the model no) apparently if you're a hardcore spray artist they're not good but if you're learning or only doing small stuff it's great. Will update you with my findings when I've had a good play with it
  19. Oh man anything under a fiver a pint is a win nowadays! Stupid London prices. Stupid London. Yeah yeah I know
  20. I'm plotting routes! As there's nothing in London (not a moan looking forward to getting out of the place for a ride or five!) Think I'll need to make a day of it and try get a couple. Just need to work on my sense of direction... or gaffa tape my car tom tom to the bike...
  21. Ooh exciting! Thanks GoG. I think I know a few people who live near a couple of these so can probably blag a few free cups of tea

    New Key (Kawasaki)

It was weird though because it didn't twist (like too much pressure was applied when locking) it was at a right angle on the flat part! kinda like this but more a perfect 90 degree angle! http://cache1.asset-cache.net/gc/LS016099-bent-key-gettyimages.jpg?v=1&c=IWSAsset&k=2&d=y6XpA5Hv9Px9myY9uVTfFdUtlt6eMQSS12QvZ83Rw%2BHY4OTgJzAzGvZJ%2FXfr0%2F9T If it had twisted I'd have least known how the hell I did it!

    New Key (Kawasaki)

Pesky keybending fairies. That sounds like a better idea I'll get a blank and pop along to my local keycutter. Thanks guys have a good New Year!
  24. So this morning I got fuel and somehow managed to bend my key at a right angle (I don't even know!) managed to straighten it out enough to use it but going to swap it over for the spare later. I'd like to get another key cut so I have a reliable spare but I don't seem to have the key number etched on it (even though it does have Kawasaki on the top). There are quite a few online places that will cut from a picture, are these places any good? It just sounds dodgy in my head! Even though they are proper companies with VAT numbers and stuff! Or do I need to go to a dealer? Thank you for helping with more of Hoggs' Neverending Ridiculous Problems!
