  1. Don't even notice them on my current bike
  2. Mine looks like a tour de france stage. I'll pass!
  3. Occassionally I see them merrily going along the North Circular! Always fun when people panic when they catch them up and just wildly swerve into the middle lane....
  4. I daren't go too far on this bike! Likes to break down when it leaves the M25... Maybe when I get my next one in summer... 10 Bonus points to anyone who comes rescue you!
  5. Who said its free Put it on my tab
  6. Even better my incredibly lovely father is giving me his old one (he'll point out its not a scotoiler it's a different brand but I've forgot what he said in the excitement of buying stuff!) My new shiny things should be here in 2-4 days
  7. Priced this up, looks like a winner noted re cleaning and lubing! Cheers guys.
  8. Oh next logical question.... recommended chains and sprockets! I do around 100 miles a week mix of dual carriageway and town riding. It's my only transport so prepared to spend what is required (but don't need to go crazy top end!)
  9. Oh boo I was hoping it was fixable. But Yay shopping! @chris it goes from tight to loose in about 1/3 wheel turn so looks like a stretched bit Thanks guys
  10. Hello and welcome to another exciting episode of stuff Hoggs knows nothing about and would love some help from you lovely lovely people So I adjusted the chain tension the other week but being the giant spoon I am I didn't roll it about to check it was even. And it's not. At the loosest point it touches the swung arm with a tad more in hand and at the tightest there's about 1cm play. There's a mystery noise that I think may be the chain slapping about on the swing arm at the loose bit. So my questions are how do I get even tension? And is it ok to pootle about on until I can look at it again on Sunday? Apologies for my uselessness
  11. Spicy salsa? or a full on sweet chilli sauce?
  12. Ah the love-hate relationship with Homebase! I hate going there but I love buying things to make my house shiney and new with!
  13. I had a seatbelt style in my old ("cheap" aka unbranded) helmet and I hated it! I found it difficult to open and was forever faffing about with trying to get it to the right tightness. Would always go for the D ring in future. The guy on the Shoei stand that I bought my new (expensive AKA branded) helmet from said he's had a lot of people who won't buy them with the D rings because they are "too difficult to use" I always used to leave my hat on the seat of the bike until I did my DAS and the instructor gave me a right shouting at for the reasons you mentioned!!
  14. Hey Soll, have you seen this thread viewtopic.php?f=12&t=59170&hilit=france lists some of the things you HAVE to do (ie reflective patches on your helmet!) and apparently filtering is illegal but some places let you get away with it but worth remembering!
  15. Ugh I never understand why people get on bikes without decent gear! In the summer I see them zooming around in shorts and tshirts. Yes I may be hot in my gear but I'm quite fond of my skin thanks!
  16. I think you'll find the law is very clear that calling Dibs overrules any existing "legal" contract that was in place. And I called it
  17. ouch. Is it the kind of thing that a competitior of the original company would want? Or as I think mentioned above find some end users for it? I have no idea what it is you do so sorry if this is a really stupid suggestion
  18. I'm calling dibs on Fozzie's garage.
  19. Because it's in the new format the numbers are year specific So 13 is the first half of 2013 and 63 is the second half 23 will be 2023 with 73 the second half 33 is 2033 and 83 the second half 43 is 2043 and * drum roll* 93 is the second half
  20. It's in the restoration bit Did your oil ever turn up???

she's really not that bad!! Done almost 1000 miles and only had a small break down, a puncture and a few backfires! Reckon she's easily got another 15 years in her
  23. Sadly more and more People are more interested on filming stuff on their phones for the OMG hash tag crash posts rather than help a fellow human being

Will order some tomorrow cheers Stu. Weirdly it's a lot colder where I work so it only backfires in the evening. Scaring my colleagues haha
