  1. I'm only 5'10" but my legs are quite long and I'm paranoid about wearing clothes that are too short because it just looks stupid. Getting clothes in general isn't as much of a problem these days, but there doesn't seem to be much info on leg lengths. The trousers I do have ride up to the top of my boots when I'm on the bike already!
  2. Ah... the other side of the coin! Agree with the paypal thing too.
  3. I've got those, they're great. I paid around £110 off of fleabay for a used pair that someone had never worn, they came with tags on etc. Can't fault them, very comfy and quality good. The adjustable bits are a real advantage.
  4. A decent ladies range! with info on leg length..! My inside leg is 35" and I can not find trousers long enough. Using men's just isn't good enough as the waist is all wrong and is exacerbated when you're actually gripping the handlebars. HG only do tiny bird gear... Anyway, info on delivery costs, option to collect/drop off, contact info for queries... can't think of anything else atm!
  5. Me neither! I hang my jacket on a door hook in my hallway, the helmet (gloves, buff inside) and boots go in the cupboard under the stairs (on the floor at the moment as I'd been planning on getting a shelf in there) and my trousers either lie on the back of the chair in the living room or find their way upstairs to go into the bottom of the wardrobe in my spare room. Kind of all over the place really. Glad someone asked! Might get one. Gem, could you do me a favour and tell me what the size roughly is so I can see if it'll fit under me stairs (bit tight under there!).
  6. Keep forgetting to post, but I'll be staying over too. Whatever Dan and the TheWife are doing as he's lending me a tent! Dan, you are still lending me a tent, right?
  7. I might be out... depends on weather which is looking good so far, no rain forecast.
  8. lurve that lid MK... very nice.. not seen it in yellow before!
  9. Neil, do you have a spare ticket still? I'll have it off your hands if it is.
  10. Hi Josh, I'll be riding up from MK to Dan's (to collect a tent), then onto MFN, so you could come across to me if that's any use? I could meet you somewhere or I can give you my address. Yet to confirm leaving times, but will be mid-afternoon I would have thought. I've never been to MFN, but I think Dan has.
  11. Oh, did Korben get new boots? Nice boots them...

  14. Hiya, there's also a DSA enhanced rider qualification you can get. I did it myself recently with BSM but lots of others do them. The instructor has a qualification from the DSA as anyone can set themselves up as an 'advanced' instructor. I'm not suggesting for a minutes that IAM or RoSPA people aren't qualified, I really don't know anything about it because I've never looked into them. Might be worth a look and it gives an insurance discount.
  15. Countless people on here have used this place... 100% service!! http://www.racevisors.co.uk/ Cheers Korby, will have a look later
  16. My lid... I'm so lazy. It's sat on the cupboard next to me and I have a camera at my disposal, but google's just tooooooo easy... EDIT: I haven't got a black visor, it's clear... just reminded myself to look in the accessories bit to see where to get me a black or iridium visor
  17. Don't worry about me Al! Wondered what you were up to on that road... thought you were trying to signal something to me!!
  18. Hiya, never done either of these, but if you're going to Silverstone then give Towcester a look for B&Bs. There's a pub on the high street called the Bull I think, but I'm not sure if they have a secure car park. Towcester's only 5-10 minutes from Silverstone. If you fancy splashing the cash, have a look at Whittlebury hall 5 minutes from Silverstone. No idea on Brands though!
  19. I've got an AGV Airtech and find it comfy although my right ear aches if I'm on the bike for a while. Think that's probably just my ear though! Not sure on the noise comparisons as I've only really worn my lid, but I often wear ear plugs too. I do get a whistle now and again, but it's not consistent and only at higher speeds. I'm thinking of trying an S-4 for my next lid.
  20. Ooh! I want one of those... If I'm thinking right it's a solid matt colour with two white stripes from front to back? Lovely. Got an AGV Airtech, but already planned my next lid. And yes, black bikes are best
  21. Hiya, I've just taken delivery of a Kriega R25 after reading a thread where Korben posted they were highly rated by Ride or Bike magazine. I'll have a look for it and edit this post. I haven't used it yet, but it seems like a solid piece of kit. Shoulder straps come in three sections with two adjustment points. I put the sack on then adjusted it and the handbook that came with it says I shouldn't need to adjust it again. Seams seem well stitched and there are big chunky zips and fobs to grab hold of. It expands and is actually quite a bit larger than I expected. It had a heavy feel, but when it's on it's not uncomfortable at all. The bottom of the bag fits into the small of your back and the top shoulder straps are pointed inwards so they're not going to pull on your shoulder when your hands are on the bars. Give us a shout if there's anything I've missed. I'll have used it by the weekend so could tell you more, but everyone who I've spoken to who's used them have raved about them.
