  1. The GT’s have a slightly stiffer carcass and are designed for the heavier bikes. Big GT types like BM’s FJ’s etc So for lighter bikes stick with std 4’s. Just to add to this thread! Sprint had her start of season service in March and I had the 4 GTs fitted, front and rear. I wanted to have a bit of time before I posted here but almost immediately I did notice a real difference in the feel of the bike. Now I know my old ones were fairly squared on the rear from motorway miles , but the PIlots feel So Smooth cornering! I've really gained far more confidence in leaning my bike lower into corners and trusting the tyres not to slip out. I've now ridden in the rain, country roads, motorways and with my resident pillion on the back and I'm SO impressed with these Tyres. Definitely have the Gin seal of approval!
  2. Awww mate that sucks so much I'm so sorry and will keep fingers crossed that you get good news soon. I would take your concerns to the police. This may not be an isolated incident and this guy may have been reported to them in the past.
  3. Basically it's all inefficient now because it's all technology in it's infancy. With the proper backing for research, yes financial, it will come on leaps and bounds. However, as is being seen so heavily in America at the mo, the companies who run current fuel technologies are lobbying REALLY hard to stop this; as they know it's the end of their industry. For whatever you think of the guy, Elon Musk has started up some really interesting companies beyond Tesla and SpaceX which are making Huge leaps already in solar and battery technology. Also there's loads of ways in which current houses could be made far more energy friendly (even energy neutral or contributing to the grid) but this again takes investment from either home owners or the government. Much like Brexit, looks like it will be a massive economic hit in the short term, with the hope of something good out the other end. Only this is whether our only planet stays survivable for humans... If the Will of the people can take the economic hit to get Sovereignty back, they can to do their bit for the climate.
  4. I completely agree with this... But probably for very different reasons.
  5. I did wonder why someone had brought in a small mountain of Caramel Wafers to work this morning!
  6. This time last year I did a week in France with my 3 closest friends going to museums and remembrance ceremonies. Met so many wonderful people. Being on the ferry from Portsmouth with the remaining Pegasus Bridge veterans was something I'll never forget, they were truly amazing men. Learnt so much, both about the war at the time and appreciation for all we have now, because of their bravery and sacrifice.

  9. It's a thing we do at an age old event called a "rally".. We have not seen one of those though for eons past.. When the stars align, we may see one of it's like again! Until that joyous day, we must instead meet in a field in MK and sit round a bonfire telling the stories of the rallys which came before..
  10. Add us to the list Looking forward to it

    Remoaners.....

    Like Momos crazy Auntie...
  12. Yeeaahh... I have a friend who was a police officer and is now a paramedic.. He regularly gives me stories like this and urges me to give up the bikes
  13. Biker down basically say only take the helmet off if you need to do CPR. If they're breathing on their own, bu unconscious, then leave it on. They also then teach the safest way to remove a helmet from an unconscious biker.
  14. Ooouch. Are you ok?? What happened?
  15. What would you guess the alternate headlines would be? Out of interest. Also disgusting behavior from whoever did this... I almost understood the Tommy Robinson Warrington one, him and his mates crowding round one lad. I personally don't support chucking a milkshake over Farage cos I think it just doesn't help the debate at all. But this, regardless of how I feel about his political views, is just an elderly man going about his day and shouldn't have to even think this might happen to him.
  16. Recently did a Biker Down course and they're so worth doing! Hope there were people stopped and helping at the scene...
  17. Nigel Farage 'trapped on bus' surrounded by protesters holding milkshakes. Because of Course this is a real headline now
  18. Yeh thinking about it , perhaps Corbyn and Abbot are a better option Really, labour bankrupted the outcry last time round, and that was without buying everything back to be run under statecontrol.. Remember the note left by Liam Byrne, chief secretary to the Treasury? Sorry no money left. Labour, who were voted out of power in 2010, two years after a world wide economic crash? I'm not a fan of Labour (especially at the moment, they won't get my vote any time soon) but you can't blame them solely for the financial ruin of the country... Even more so in a thread about an ex-city banker!
  19. No he doesn't. That is the great con that everyone who follows him has fallen for. he doesn't want to leave. he just wants to campaign about leaving, all the while being paid €100,000 per year (plus expenses) for doing almost nothing. I think you're missing the point as to why he's an MEP and why he wants to fill the British contingent in the EU Parliament with the Brexit party. So that he can keep drawing a comfy wage for a job he rarely has to show up for, fart about when he does bother to roll in half cut and know his position is cushy as hell, cos other people will always be there to stop his policies coming to fruition as they know (like he does) that they would never actually work, in any sense? He enjoys his position at the moment because he knows he can constantly say "All your problems would be solved if I were in power!" and never be held account for it. Each time he gets close to having an ounce of responsibility put on his shoulders, requiring some effort from him to Actually make the unicorn farts he's been promising happen, he "retires" saying he's done his part and now it's up to someone else to finish it off... Man of the people, my left arse cheek. He's bought and paid, enjoying a comfy life where getting £500k off a "mate" is considered no big deal, while he throws the working class under the wheels of his carriage. ... Anyway, weathers nice, anyone up for a bimble?

  21. Daaamn! We need more GoT alternate endings on here, that was Ace!
  22. Ok so I really love the Audiobooks, I think they're a great way of getting through the books as I know the books are Loooonnngg (I did read them first and it took months. ) HOWEVER, I'm just gunna throw out this little disclaimer before you guys start listening. I'm not sure when the audiobooks were recorded vs the show being filmed, but the voices might not match how you imagine they will; this was a deal breaker for Jay. Now I love the narrator (Roy Dotrice) but the lannisters are kind of celtic (welsh / irish), the starks are just British, not northern etc etc. Effectively, I really like the audiobooks, but just try to 'get past' the voices you expect the characters to sound like. To be honest they're so long that I don't even notice now, but it was weird at first.
  23. I do completely agree with you, though I think extremely low of Farage, this wasn't the way to get your point across and is only going to rally the forces behind him.. The only thing I will add, is in recent years the murdered MP, Jo Cox, was attacked by a far-right activist. The recent murder attempt on another female MP was planned by a far-right activist. There have been many times where pork products have been hurled into places of worship and at people, by those who feel they shouldn't be allowed in this country. So trying to ask what's acceptable next, when referencing Jo Cox seems a little Naive to the growing feeling in this country that has been behind acts like the ones you mentioned for years. (Disclaimer: I am not saying that liberals shit don't stink. Just that in recent years, their crimes have not been as obvious or as many.) Its not naive, it's simply pointing out that what some some think acceptable is simply not, there were some who thought the murder of an mp was acceptable, makes no difference far right/left/middle makes no difference what your opinion is assault is not the way forward, I would have put an exclusion zone around parliament and put all the for and against brexit in a field. We have a democratic right to vote and make our feelings known, parties on all sides have the right to campaign without the fear of assault Agree completely. I do feel that were in a weird post-facts age in politics at the moment though where people aren't being held account to the rules in place, nor the things they say. Politicians, the media and more so the regulation bodies in place need to hold those account to their words and actions.
  24. Farage is far too lazy to be PM - he's only interested in stirring shit, not doing any real work. As Verhofstadt said back in 2016, Brexit will save them the biggest waste of EU resources: Nigel Farage's salary. https://i.imgur.com/S8XQVbJ.gif' alt='IMGUR>'>
  25. Arwen, you always sum up just what I was thinking! I keep remembering that HBO offered for seasons 7 & 8 to be 10 episodes a piece (and even said that if the writers needed more seasons after, they would be happy to fund it) but D&D wanted to get it done in the shorter time frame, which has led to this general feeling of Meh... Everything that has happened I could see GRRM writing it, but at least with him you would Feel it coming. The analogy I've used before still stands; like being pulled with the weight of a river, and all it's currents and eddies, vs being smacked with a tidal wave in the desert. I read a fan write up that effectively had Jon at that last meeting too. They all start arguing and Jons name becomes the main point of contention, some stating that after all he's done he's the perfect regent and those retorting that the kingdom would never accept him, bast*rd or no. Then Jon, looking about at the rage and feuding, stands up and states that he doesn't want the Throne, he's NEVER wanted this and all he wants is to head north to try to rebuild the defenses which have been shattered at the top of the realm. Maybe even he puts Brans name forward, to which Tyrion agrees etc etc... Then it wouldn't be Bran throwing his brother under the bus, but instead taking the helm in a gracious acceptance. You know, that's an angle I hadn't really thought of. Jaime gets to stay as a kings guard after murdering a king but Jon gets exiled? ... Yeah sounds a bit bollocks. This is no disrespect on the actor at all, but ^this^ and Brans "Why do you think I came South?" really irked me. He's so souless! It's not even stoic and blunt like Stannis because at least he CARED in his own way. So either Bran (who has fully said that 'Bran' is dead and he's now the 3ER) is a emotionless husk, who the people of the 7 Kingdoms will never come to love, the lords will never want to follow etc etc or he's actually a scheming f**k who let the kingdom burn just to he could take the crown? ... Like I say maybe GRRM makes this feel natural and organic, but as it stands the wheel is not broken, the GoT continues like it always have and a new war will likely start when Bran dies, if not before. (Bron is going to cause shit for sure.) ... If you want the Audiobooks I can send them over So couple of my points: (I'm aware this post is already a little long...) 1.) Bullshit the Yara-Asha, would agree to the kingdoms uniting again and the iron born bending the knee after her queen was murdered. Even if she did, as soon as Sansa declared independence Yara-Asha would have Noped out of there.... Followed Swiftly by the Prince of Dorne who doesn't give a shit about these Northern squabbles and probably has the largest remaining army. 2.) The Dothraki would be f**king Shit Up! They are blood riders to Dany and she got stabbed. So their one mission in life is now to kill the person who killed their Khalesi and then commit suicide to join her in the night lands. They would be raping, murdering and breaking Everything they could touch. How was this not mentioned, even in the council meeting as "The Dothraki are still causing issues but our armies are rounding them up".
