  1. Not yet. Hopefully soon though. Have been having an eBay clear out and selling old toys. Will still be a budget bike but should have £1500 ish to spend soon without any dent in the house renovation budget, so will start looking in the next couple of weeks. You could get a good condition zzr600 for that! No you will get a zzr600 for that ... Even though i love the zzr's the most common difference between a £300 one and a £1500 one is the bodywork . The underneath they are all the same Rear shock worn out Rear suspension linkage bearings are shot due to rear shock Brake calipers need refurb Rear cush rubbers are worn The issue with all the above is the calipers are the cheapest thing to fix !
  2. Check the downpipes where the link pipes are ( The tubes that go horizontal) they are prone to cracking This can cause the ecu to go into limp mode and finally fail to start .
  3. And another disappointing shop with SBS Need a new mesh jacket . Unsure of size so will order and return as necessary So on The Monday evening ordered 1 Medium and 1 Large .site shows in stock for both With delivery for Thursday On Tuesday get email saying oh we don't have the Medium in stock due to an error we expect stock on Thursday Ok happy to wait .. Friday comes and no update or even the large been delivered. Email sent request update no reply Saturday call up and No the medium has not been restocked and unsure when so please call back Monday to speak to purchasing . Get email Monday telling me that due to a. Error they don't have even have the large in stock . And they don't expect stock in until the 27th of following month ! And when raised my concerns they don't grasp the fact that for over a week they have fecked me about when they could have just said we don't have either in stock in the first response . Ordered pair of gloves yes they price matched Again website says in stock Email oh we don't have in stock potentially up to 5 days to restock Got them 3 days after Think they need to sort out their stock monitor system . Especially when you had no other option than order online .
  4. Question .. Before you dismantled Did you try starting engine ? As having a cylinder full of fuel can cause a hydraulic lock and bend Conrods or valves ..
  5. And if taking the carbs off you can remove cables after if needed
  6. Btw there are two cables on the throttle
  7. Slacken ( wind it in)cable adjuster at grip end ( if fitted) Slacken the central adjuster Pull the cable upwards where it mounts on carb and see the part of carb the end moves/attached to . Use a screwdriver or get your finger in from underneath to lock that part in its fully 'pulled' location and then manipulate the cable out of its locating point
  8. Has this happened since you changed the air filter ?

And lets face it ... Its not as if insurance companies charge us more each year due to them having to cover the cost of claims involving uninsured motorists. We all have done things in the past which we may now condone others for now doing but it is with the knowledge of the consequences. As for helpful advice ... Most need to realise what it is they actually want to achieve not just what their mate said that their brothers cousin dog walkers sister's boyfriend read on the internet forum where some lad knows some one whose boyfriend sisters dogwalkers cousin's brothers mate has done to their bike but they don't want to spend more than what AliExpress charges .
  11. I realise this was a family members bike so the desire not to have bike back on road . However was the bike that severely damaged to be classed as unrepairable or is it just a personal preference for it not to back on road as itself ?
  12. Never got the analogy of ..Marriage vs Prison.. You would have had more sex in Prison .
  13. Check the spacer between the bearings has not seized ( ie been squashed or displaced ) as this can tighten up a wheels ability to spin freely . It should be floating slightly

  16. Re plastic pipe . Batteries used to be supplied dry But now they are shop filled and the plastic vent /drain pipe is temporarily plugged for transportation reason. It should be stated in instructions /by supplier of the need to either change the pipe or remove the stopper
  17. 1. Have you checked the fluid level in battery if its possible ...? 2.Are you using a charger that is designed for motorcycle batteries as most car chargers will not recognise mc batteries .( Similar to what your described. Generally max amperage charge is 1A for MC batteries whilst car battery chargers are 4A.
  18. The hi vis reminder is for the rider to remember the lock is attached so they don't end up on the floor . If your disklock shears by the small amount of force applied of driving off then i would buy a better lock .

  23. The ball on the end of the foot peg is what scrapes the ground when you lean over in a corner. They bolt on so I think the idea is that as they wear away you're supposed to replace them with a new one and that stops you wearing away the foot pegs The idea is that it lifts the peg before it digs into the ground and throws you down the road
