  1. And by design fog lights are designed to cut under the fog so the lower they are in a level field ( not tilted at extreme angles ) the better result
  2. Remember to have lights positioned to be lower than required when the bike is unloaded as when you sit on the bike you load/lower the rear thus raising the front
  3. In Silverstone ?
  4. But you add up.the cost of css.. However you do not end up with an industry recognised certificate as someone insurance companies recognise d level 2 css
  5. New training course started up recently ...wonder if they knew before https://www.rapidtraining.co.uk/bikemaster
  6. Not all dual carriageways allow learners/50cc so look for signs. If i remember correctly a few of the overpasseson a13 near Purley don't allow
  7. And to smell a burnt clutch on a wet clutch system really takes some effort .... or its not a clutch issue

    Handlebar shims?

So you buy different bars to suit your grips and position... Will all your controls fit the new bars ,? Will your throttle cables ,clutch cables/hose ,brake hose/cables & electrical wiring allow repositioning without affecting operation?
  11. So you changed airfilter Have you installed incorrectly ? This could be restricting airflow . If its Choking the engine this can make it get hotter quicker ( leans the air/fuel mixture) Forgot to re attach a pipe ? A bike with an ecu will require a correct temp reading to process a suitable setting so if its registering too hotor cold this could affect performance . You could have a air lock in coolant, If you have ridden it for any great time the this could have caused overheating in areas of the engine . Double check all the work you did ie airfilter and all relevant connections
  12. Have you aligned all the timing marks ,? ....
  13. Have you changed or adjusted the levers ? Some aftermarket adjustable generic levers will not operate the switch in certain positions
  14. Gpz500 engines will fit as well Kle500 also

    Torque Wrenches

Disagree ... consider taper bearings they require a certain tightness to be effective. Consider how much force going wide open throttle in first gear puts on an rear axle bolt . Yes things may be effective at lower settings but the manufacturer gives that number to cover all bases ...their arse and yours .
  16. Selling a Warrior Spyder bike lift . It has not actually been used since buying new No adapters with it But they are easily obtained from either demon tweeks or ebay https://www.demon-tweeks.com/uk/warrior-spider-stand-ubrst-smi2092-r/ Can be collected from Didcot area or Reading or posted (+ £25p&p) £80+ p&p if required
  17. I presume you have seen it running before dismantling? I would go with checking Wiring connection s just in case you have pulled some thing apart and not noticed Check Fuel pump fuse Fuel pump relay
  18. See we would 'GET IT' if we knew what it was about and in what context 'IT' was about . So instead of the vague subject line ' Honda Wiring colours Explained' therefore implying all Honda Wiring is based on the same 3 colour wires across the whole loom . Had dyou put'Honda Charging Loom Wiring colours explained ' then' IT 'may have been more explanatory. Think of your audience before the subject and determine how to portray 'IT' to them so that they may grasp what 'IT' is all about . You have a passion for self learning and self repair that is applauded ( not by many here sadly )and goes back to make do and mend style of bygone years . Just remember not all share that passion and may need it to be presented in a educational manner rather than a you should do this style.
  19. but who said wires have to be ..Red and black etc look inside a 240v plug well the ones you can take a part It's brown for positive blue for negative and if your lucky green and yellow for earth. Many years ago it was black- red +and earth green .. Why should things be standardized? Some systems are designed around colour blindness
  20. There is a new process where you may not have to sit a test but be signed off by your observer as such as your riding progresses to a suitable standard . However why would you not want the chance to be critiqued by generallya Class 1 police rider ...
  21. Bloody TVAM members ...... we get everywhere
  22. if they are double filament bulbs the holders will not be suitable for single filament due to the contact method differ. As FB says isolate the power source for the bulbs ( if you can find the original feed it will be only 1 wire to disconnect rather than each seperate ind . If new new bike speak to dealer before you risk invalidating any future warranty wiring issues and if they can undertake the task or if there is a known solution bulb will more likely be a standard 380 side and tail bulb
