    It is thin cast aluminuim ..if you keep playing with it especially with grinders it will just crumble and you are screwed . If its that bad now get a professional to weld and insert a helicoil.

    ☆You can still apply chemical metal and to keep external pressure on use a jubilee clip☆ Scrap that just relooked at picture not much room really to do that

    Hmmm you could try applying a rtv sealant in the threads of the sump plug and this may be enough to seal but you run the risk of breaking it more when re tightening . Is there a washer on that plug ?

    Try ... heating the surrounding area with a fan heater ( not direct heat such as blow torch or paint stripper) cleaning it with brake and clutch cleaner .applying a small bead of rtv sealant and then dress with a chemical metal that is oil resistant.
  5. Barrel off engine insert piston from top of bore .. As described above method Push piston to bottom of bore so little end gudgeon pin can be re inserted (small bits of wood as supports between cylinder barrel and crankcase to allow hands free )

  7. They dont have to be on blues and twos to exceed the limit .. they must have a reason if called up on it .. If they had issue with the manner if your excessive speed imsure they would have had words and i doubt you saying well you were going that fast why cant i... would be a black mark towards you

Not having a battery connected or poorly connected can knacker the charging system .. get it running and test it as above with multi meter etc .. check electrolyte levels in battery .. cold weather will sap a poorly battery . Give it enough oomph for one attempt but until its charged enough its no way hose.

  11. Cbt is the minimum "training "you require before riding on the roads. A1 is the licence category to allow you to ride a 125cc with L Plates. So if your 17 and over you can ride upto 2 years on a 125 with l plates on a cbt ticket if you have a1 catergory on your licence (provisional) Apolgies the changed catergories hence the edit https://www.gov.uk/ride-motorcycle-moped/bike-categories-ages-and-licence-requirements Depends on how long you have your licence / age
  12. yes standard barrel as far as i know, its a great work horse i will take it apart tomorrow and try this trick thank you no need to take apart . Pour down spark plug hole
  13. Try a compression test as normal .. then pour oil down the bore ( small amount ) then do one . If it goes up ( compression) then rings/bore are suspect
  14. If engine is still standard and the bore is within its tolerances No reason why standard piston and rings won't fit
  15. Generally with two stroke .. it means its not long left for this world .if you ride sensibly does it overheat ? Quick heating could be knackered thermostat ... air blockage . . It maybe able to rev that high but if your ( the user not yourself ) using low grade oil they dont like it ... Especially derestricted its asking for trouble
  16. Was intending to buy one to see what they are like. Ive bought a few Gps trackers and most have been good. If these can relay vehicle data in real-time, that would be cool. OBD2 port doesn't switch off with ignition so just be careful you don't drain your battery! ...i would worry about a tracker that's governed by ignition on feed to be truthful.

  18. In the manual it gives you the specified measurement .. so say 100 ohms but generally it will give a tolerance of say + or - 5% so your reading could between 95 and 105 ohms and still be acceptable

    There are two types of mole grips .... Shit cheap copies which dont grip feck all and twist Or Proper Mole grips As said always allen bits on any bolt of reasonable torque And give the the recesses a good clean out before using the bit and then drive it home with a few taps . If you can access the heads easy enough ... small set of decent stilsons
  20. Does it leak fuel internally or externally . If its leaking internally ( fuel coming out of air filter inlet ) then it can cause internal engine damage by hydrolock which can bend valves and break Piston rings causing low compression . If externally not to much of an issue generally. Common cause will be float height incorrect set or float damaged or dirt causing the needle to stay open or damaged diaphragm.or damaged gasket Bad cells in battery can still show a good voltage but underload will weaken the electrical power required for a good spark . Are the measurements taken allowing for the +&- percentages of the range
